Be it known that I, Martin E. Trollen, a citizen 0f the United Stabes, residing ab St. Paul, county of Ramsey, and State of Minnesota, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Pencils, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part thereof:

Figure 1 is a freut e1evational view of a pencil, showing my new design.

Figure 2 is a side elevational view.

Figure 3 is an end view, looking toward the head of the pencil.

Figure 4 is an end view, looking toward the writing tip of the pencil.

My design comprises a pencil, substantially diamond-shaped. in cross section, and having a line parallel the edge thereof on the fiat sides of the pencil. The design also includes an enlarged cylindrical operating knob having a. cone-shaped top thereon, and a flange overlying each surface of the pencil body, at the end of the body opposite the lead end. This flange is formed in triangular pointed scallops, one of which overlies each o1 the four surfaces of the body of the pencil.
