PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A BUTTON Application July 30, 1936, Serial No. 64,140

Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern.

Be it known that I, Leonard R. Carley, a citizen of the United States, residing at Watertown, in the county of Litchfield and State of Connecticut, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Buttons, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part thereof, in which:

Fig. 1 is an enlarged top plan view of a button showing my new design;

Fig. 2 is a side elevation thereof;

Fig. 3 is a sectional view taken on the line 33 of Fig. 1; and

Fig. 4 is a bottom plan view thereof.

The dominant feature of the design is the provision of an annular dome portion characterizing the upper face of the button, said dome portion commencing on a concentric circle inwardly spaced from the circumference of the button. The bottom of the button is characterized by a dome portion smaller than the upper dome portion, the bottom dome portion being invisible when the edge of the button is viewed.
