class known as outside seals, in which an inverted metal cup is crimped on the top of the bottle around a bead on the-outside of the neck. Usually these seals are provided with a cork actual sealing of the bottle when held down by the crimped cap. The objection to seals of this general character is that a'special form of implement is required to remove them from the bottle inorder to get at the contents thereof, and it is the object of my invention to provide means whereby the seal may be removed by almost any convenient implement,,such as a fork, or a lead pencil, or the like. In order to accomplish this I attach to the seal by any convenient means a loop of wire or strong cord in such mannor that the same will project abovethe top of the seal and permit of the insertion of a variety of implements, so as to give the neoessary-leverage to pull ofi the seal and open the bottle. In the preferred form of construction, I lay the wire between the cork disk and the cap and near the circumference of the disk, and allow the loop to project out beyond the ca at any convenient oint.

Having described my invention, what I claim is:

1. In a bottle-seal, the combination of a metal cap, a compressible sealing disk, and a wire laid between said disk and' said cap aroundthe rim of said disk, and formed into a loop projecting outside of the metal cap.

2. -In a bottle seal, the combination of a -metal cap, a. compressible sealing disk, and a wire laid between said disk and said cap around the'rim of said disk in the zone of greatest pressure, and formed in a loop pro- Jecting outside of the metal cap.
