IMPROVED PLASTERERS HAWK.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

To all whom 'it muy concern i,

.Be it known that I, THOMAS J. MCGEARY, of

i Newark, in the county of Essex, and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Plasterers Hawks; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full',-clear, and exact description thereof, sufficient to enable others skilled inthe art to which my invention appertains, to make and use the same, reference being had .to the accompanying drawings, making a part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a'view of the under side of the hawk. .i

Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding A represents the hawk, which consists cfa plate of steel, of proper size and formt It is secured to au ordinary handle, B, by means of* arms C, through themedia of rivets, or other fastenings.

The advantages ofthe steel plate are, that there is no warping or cracking, no roughing of the surface, no rotting, no catching of the trowel in taking off the mortar, and other features which will he readily perceptible to plasterers.-
