Description

P. FILLER.
LEMON SQUEBZER.
APPLIOATIOK FILED JULY 19,1909.
946,668. Patented Jan. 18,1910.
PAUL FILLER, 0F BERLIN, GERMANY.
LEMON-SQUEEZER.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed July 19, 1909. Serial No. 508,405.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, PAUL FILLER, a subject of the German Emperor, and residing at J oachimsthalerstrasse 19, Berlin, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Lemon-Squeezers, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to that kind of lemon squeezers used as table requisites which consist of a flexible stirrup or curved piece of material, with a holding device for the lemon slices.
The object of my invention is to provide such lemon squeezers with a supportlng device, so that they can be held in a slanting position. This is necessary on the one hand in order to bring the squeezer with the lemon slices in a more convenient position for use, and on the other hand to prevent the same from lyin in the sauces or gravies supplied with the Food.
In the accompanying drawing two different forms of construction of the new lemon squeezer are illustrated.
Figure '1 shows a side view of one form, Fig. 2 a perspective view, showing the device in use, Fig. 3 shows a modified form in side view, and Fig. 4 is a vertical section of the same.
a is the usual flexible stirrup with the pressing parts a, b are flaps or projections which prevent the slices of lemon sliding out sidewise. The points 0 bent out of the pressing arts a in connection with the flexible e ect of the stirrup are to secure the lemon slices in position; 03 is the supporting device, which in the example shown in Figs. 1 and 2, consists of an arm projecting from the top of the stirrup. At the bottom end of this supporting device there is provided a clamp e for attaching the lemon squeezer to the rim of a plate or the like.
It is to be seen from Fig. I that instead of Patented Jan. 18,1910.
one supporting device, several can be provided, in order to achieve the purpose of the invention. For instance the lower edges of the sides can also be so formed, that they act at the same time as supporting devices (Fig. 3). The form and the application of the points and flaps is immaterial.
What I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
1. In a lemon squ'eezer in-combination, a flexible stirrup, holding devices for the lemon slices on said stirrup, and a sup orting device on said stirrup, substantial y as set. forth.
2. In a lemo'n'squeezer in combination, a flexible stirrup, a holding device on said stirrup for securing the lemon slices in position, and a supporting arm projecting trom the top of said stirrup, and a clamp provided on said arm, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name this 6th day of July 1909, in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
PAUL FILLER.
' Witnesses WOLDEMAR 'HAUPT, HENRY HASPER.
