On the tongue D is secured the cross-barI Lto-each end of which areattaohed the stops (0 a, pressing against the wheels B B.
a. represents a rod, secured to the tongue, and provided at one end with the projection 11, by which it is attached to the cross-bar E by the rod 1).
The other end is provided with the lever c, the lower end being connected with the cross-bar E by means of the rod b".
'Ihenpper end of lever c is attached to one end of the rod 0', the other end of the rodv c being attached to the tooth-bar (1, working in the metal plate d, secured to the outer side of the wagon.
e, is a tootl1 -projection, formed on the upper end of the plate at.
F represents alever; pivoted at its lower end to the wagon, and attached near the point of pivoting to the cog-segment f, working in the tooth-bar (I, as seen in the drawings.
The level-F is formed with a metal projection, f arranged so as to work in the tooth-projection 0. By this arrangement of rods and lever, a perfect brake is formed.
Having thus described my invention,
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is'- l. The lever F, in combination withthe tooth-seg mentj' and tooth-bar 11, substantially in the manner and for the purpose described,
