In a printing-machine, the combination. of a type-cylinder, means for supporting type thereon, an inking device, a rotatable platenrolier in cooperative relation to the type-cylinder, a shaft adjacent to the roller, means for rotating the same, means forlocking the shaft in position, cams on said shaft, screws carried by the platen-roller near its ends and adjustable relatively'to the roller in threaded openings, said screws having their ends bearing on said cams, and means-for locking the screws in position, substantially as set forth. 10. In a printing-machine, the combination ofa typeecylinder, type supported thereon, a-transfer fabric overlying the printing faces of the type, means for securing one end of the fabric to the cylinder, a rod to which the other end of the fabric is secured, a shaftmounted in bearings on the cylinder, prongs on said shaft ada ted to coact with said rod and means for loo ing the shaft against rotation, substantially as set forth.
