The clasp has a flat metal body 1, the smooth side of which lies against the neck of the wearer. A plurality of fingers 2, preferably two in number, one near each end of the clasp, are conveniently formed integrally with the body. The fingers terminate in loops or eyes 3, which are considerably sepad from the body, as seen in Fig. 2.

Collar 5 has also at top and bottom of each end a similar button-hole. The bottom and top mitten-holes of one end of the collar are hooked over corresponding -lingers 2, the collar passed around the neck, and the other button-holes put over the fingers, as seen in tne figure. The clasp is now ready for the pin. An ordinary safety pin may be employed, but for decorative purposes a special pin is preferred, as illustrated in Fig. 3.

The body 6 of the pin may be shaped to correspond with the body of the clasp, or may vary therefrom in outline. Pivoted to the body at one end is the pin-shank 7, of a size which will pass easily through eyes 3, and preferably llat. Spring hook S on the body serves to hold the shank in closed position.

Fig. 4, and the pin-shank being open as in Fig. 3, the shank is passed downward through eyes 3, and the pin body 6 then swung on the pivot until spring hook 8 engages the shank, when all parts are locked in position. The pin-shank prevents the button-holes from coming off of fingers 2.

In addition to its stated function, it is to be noticed that the clasp also serves as a distance piece, or stretcher, holding u the top edges of the collar (which is genera ly of soft or unstarched material) at the back, and preventing sagging at this point.

Considerable variations in points of detail may be made without departing from the spirit of my invention.

I claim:

1. The combination of a clasp comprising a body and two separated fingers thereon adapted to engage garment button-holes, and a pin cooperating with the clasp, having a shank adapted to engage both of the fingers and retain the clasp in operative relation to the garment.

2. The combination of a clasp comprising a body and two separated fingers thereon terminating in eyes and adapted to engage garment button-holes, and a pin cooperating with the clasp, having a shank adapted to pass through both of the eyes and retain the clasp in operative relation to the garment.

3. The combination of a clasp comprising a body and two separated fingers thereon terminating in eyes and adapted to engage garment button-holes, and a pin cooperating with the clasp comprising a body, a shank pivoted to the body near one end, and a hook to secure the free ends of the shank, the shank being adapted to enter the eyes and prevent displacement of members of the garment from the clasp.
