SHUTTER-LOCK.

To all whom it may concern:

Be 1t known that I, HARRY D. BLACK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Wilmin'gton, in the county of Newcastle and The invention consists. of a keeper carried by the sideof thehouse and of a s ring pressed .locklng bolt carried transversely by the shutter and projectingtherefrom at each end.

In applying my invention, I take an ordinary s utter A and recess the same uponits 1111101 or hinged edge as shown at A and also recess its outer face adjacent its opposite edge as shown at A and connect these recesses by a transverse horizontal passage A. Through the passage A works an operating rod C which passes through the recess A and pro ects therefrom, the projecting portion wing enlarged .to form a push button 0. Around the rod and within the recess A is a coil spring C The rod also projects into the recess A said projecting portionbeing Specification of Letters Patent.

The combination with a swinging shutter and a keeper arranged adjacent said shutter, a rod carried transversely by the shutter and movable longitudinally, and an angle bolt a'djustably mounted upon.an end portion of said rod for engagement with the keeper.
