having an aperture in its base adapted to receive a pipe end, and sealing means be- 2 ssacsi material between the inner surface Yof said" receptacle and the outer surface of the pipe end therein, a perforated cover plate' at the up er end of said receptacle, a series of longitur inal ribs arranged upon the outer surface of said receptacle each composed of a plurality of sections having the upper ends of alternate sections bent voutward in opposite directions, sealing material disposed about and surrounding said receptacle adjacent to its upper end, recesses in the upper end of saidl receptacle, an annular plate having inwardly project-ing lugs adapted to engage thel recesses .in the upper vend of said rece tacle, and means for securing said annular p ate in position around theup er end of said receptacle, and over theseaiing means surrounding the same, substantially as specified.
