The improved envelop 1s made from the blank shown in Fig. 4, which consists of o front-portion a, o rear portion b of the some size as the front-portion, gummed side-flops (L at each side ofthe main portion a., sind side-naps being of less Width than the ineinportion and provided with short extensions o2 at theirlowver ends, `which extensions are :ilse gummed et their inside. Hoving thus described my invention, I claim :is new and desire to secure by Letters Patent:
A safety-envelop eolnprising o front portion, n. rein` portion having ungummed sideedges without Hops, gutnmed side-flaps car- .ried by the front ortion, a gummed longitudinal flap corrie( by the rearortion and extendixig along the upper edge t ereof, said flap being adopted to fold over the upper edge of the front-portion, and short lateral extensions of equal length formed on said longitudinal flap et the ends thereof and adopted to be folded over on and secured to seid rear portion at its upper corners.
