To all whom it may conccm':

Be it known that I, J oHN H. BELLAMY, of Charlestown, in the county of Middlesex, and State of Massa chusetts, have invented .certain new and useful Im'- provem ents in Toy-Birds; and I do hereby declare that the -following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

To enable others skilled in the art'to make and use m'y improvement, I will proceed to describe its nature gas-tight, provided with an orifice, at some convenient point, through which it may be inflated.

v Two wings, as represented in the drawings, are attached to the'b'ody, these wings' being of any suitable material, and so attached to the body as to be free to move `orf flap, as the, body is iliade to vibrate, by a string, which is attached, for that purpose,'to the lower part. ,If desirable, the wings themselves may be hollow, and be inflated.

In the drawings, I have represented an eagle, but in practice I shall not coniinemyself to the representation of any particular bird, design, or size.`

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure` by Letters Patent, is-

As a new article of manufacture, an inflated toybird, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
