The'object of our invention is to'produee a tile for' filing papers, thatwill 'allow of' the removal of o ne paper without disturbing Other's,'-and. that firmly lhold papers without perforating' them. Y

. Our invention consists of a dat board, Of any suitable material, upon which the` papers to be led are" placed, and a' clasp, or clamp,- which is held u non the .paperby springs.

The upper surface'of B is bevelled to the edge from the centre, so that-when B is raised, as shovming( 2, this bevelling allows the board B to come abovethe point of equal pressure by the springs on the sides, thus holding board B up, but a slight pressure upon. the upkper sidefof board B overcomes this-upward action of the springs d and d', and the board B comes downirmly upon the papers F, where it' holds them, by the ppos' ing action of the springs d and d. l

i is a rin by which toraise board B. This Operation is simple and convenient, for'itallows of withdrawing papers witho'ut disturbing others.
