Be it known thatI, JOHN REINIG, of Fond 1du Lac, in the county ot' Fond du Lac, and State of Wiseonl sin, have invented a. new andusei'ul Improvement in I-Iangcrs for Attaching Eave's-lronghs;` and I do declare that the following is n true-and accurate description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, and being a. partof this specification.
The drawing shows very fully the nature of thisinventon, which is designed to be used as a very simple, effective, convenient, and inexpensivedevice for attaching eaves-troughs lte buildings.
In order to accomplishthis end, I construct, from any suitable metal, thelianger shown in the drawings,V
provided with plate A, for attaching or fastening the same, to the building, bent from an inclined to a vertical position at I3; then bent at right angles at VC, and bent again at D thence passing around the eavestrough, and
bent in suitable form to conform to the same, to the top and front of said trough; `then bent again at E, ahd still again at F, to :t vertical position parallelwith that part of the same extending from the plate A.
Through the two parts resting against and vertically parallel with each other, I drill or punch a hole, for the insertion of a boltand nut, G.
To use thishanger, fasten, in anysuitahle-way, the plate A to the roof, and loosen, or partially unscrew,
the nutupon the holt, slip in the eaves-trough, (shown in red lines in the drawing,) and fasten cr tighten said nut, andthe eaves-trough will be firmly held in the desired position.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isyIhe construction of a hanger, for the purpose described, when constructed of one pieceot` metal, bent in such form as to conform to the shape of the eaves-trough, and provided with bolt and nut G, substantially as herein ldescribed and set forth.
