Be it known that I, CHARLEs L. DAYTCN, of North Buffalo, in the county 'of Erie, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Row-Locks; and I do hereby declare the following to be afull,
clear, and enact description thereof, reference being hadito the accompanying drawing', whiehis made a part of this specification,
My invention relates to a novel andsimpl'e device for attaching the oars to the boat in such a manner: as to allow vof their free movement'in the usual direction for rowing, and also their detachment, whendesired, and to v prevent theirendwise displacement, and the noise and cramping incident to the common forms of row-locks.
