TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, L. CHAPIN, of' Antwerp, county of Jeierson, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement inA Cheese-Hoops', and do hereby declare that the-following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had -to the accompanying drawings, and to the let-ters of reference marked thereon, making apart of thsvspeccation.

My invention consists in making a. cheese-hoop of sheet iron and tn, for durability and economy.

A represents the exterior of my cheese-hoop, upon each side of which-are suitable handles. This exterior is sheet metal, each end of Which-is turned outwards, as shown, which forms circumferential flanges to rest on. Within the exterior is a tin lining, which is made to'neatly it the exterior, A. Either end answers for top or for lbottom. v l

I am aware that cheesehoops made of staves and hooped by bands, and provided with tin linings, are known.

In my hoop, I use but two pieces of metal, (not including the `handles,) and thereby form a hoop easier, more economical, and more durable than those heretoforeknown.

What I claim, as a. new article of manufacture, is-f l Thewithin-described cheese-hoop, composed of'sheet iron/and' tin, and formed inthe manner specified.
