To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, DALTON K. I/VILsON. a citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of Gladbrook, Tarna county, Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Riding Attachments for Hal-rows, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to riding attachments for harrows; and the object of my invention is to provide a seated vehicle in the rear of and connected to the draft-bar of the harrow which is so constructed as to prevent any tendency to tilt or overturn when passing over uneven ground and so arranged as to readily turn corners without friction. This object I have accomplished by the means which are hereinafterdescribed and claimed and which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings,

By this arrangement of the sulky'body it will be seen that the wheels will be caused to readily trail and adjust their direction to any angle when turning at the end of a field. The wheels will also easily surmount any obstacle without overturning the sulky. As the reach'rod moves in connection with the draft-bar the plate w on its rear end is caused to slide horizontally between the cross-timber s and bar a with very little friction. The same movement causes the pivoted arms I and to turn the stub-axles j in the desired direction, thus allowing shori' turns to be made and permitting the wheels to override obstacles without everturning the sulky.
l'iaving described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by l ietters Patent, is-
I. A riding attachment for barrows, comprising a cross-timber, stub-axles pivotalhv mounted on the ends thereof, wheels on said axles, a cross-bar, bars fixed at one end to said stub-axles and pivotally mounted at their other ends to said cross-bar, and a reach attached to said cross-bar and having its rear end extended beyond and horizontally movable along said cross-timber. substantially as described.
2. A riding attachment for harrows, comprising a reach, a cross-timber, a transverse bar connected parallel to and spaced away from said cross-tiinber, a plate fastened to and extending rearnuirdly from said reach into the space between saidcross-tilnber and said transverse bar, a cross-bar connected to the reach, stub-axles pivotally mounted on the ends of said cross-timber, wheels on said axles, and
