GLOBE FOR LAMPS- SPEGIFIGATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 755,283, dated March 22, 1904.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known thatI, ROBERT M. DIXON, a citiv zen of the United States, and a resident of East Orange, Essex county, New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Globes for Lamps, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to globes for lamps, and has particular reference to globes suitable for use on car-lamps.
In the accompanying drawings I have shown a globe in which one form of my invention is embodied,
In the drawings, Figure I is a side view of the globe, and Fig. II is a section view thereof.
In the drawings, a indicates the body of the globe, and in using the term globe I desire to be understood as also including forms'other than globular. The globe is shown in the present instance as entirely closed at the bottom and provided at the top with an abrupt inwardly-turned lip or portion-b, adapted to enter a bezel or ring and to be engaged by clasps from within.

1. As a new and useful article of manufacture, a globe for car-lamps consisting of the translucent body a closed at its bottom and having at its upper edge an abruptly-inturned circumferential lip 6 arranged to be engaged by claspsv from within. a
2. As a new and useful article of manufacture, a globe for car-lamps consisting of a bowl-shaped body and having at its upper edge an abruptly-inturned circumferential lip arranged to be engaged by clasps from within, the said lip bounding the open space at the top of the globe.
