Be it known that I, JOEL GLEAsoN,-loi` Whitestone, in lthe county of Queens, and Stateoi New York,` have invented a new and useful Iinprovement inSoldering-Tool and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and' use the same, referencelbeing had to the' accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification. The drawing represents a soldering-tool of my invention. v The design of this'impr'ovement is to make a'solid soldering-tool in two parts, and of the same or different niemals, and consists in forming the copper point with n.- screw in the back end, which" screws into a cast-iron base with a wrought-iron handle, or a. base and handle oi' copper or any other suitablc'metal, With this plan `Vof construction, the eopper'pointadmits of renewal when worn away so as to be too light for service, the handle part remaining as good as ever for along time.
