TO ALL WHOM IT MAYCONCERN:
Be it known that I, GEORGE DITTENIIAVER, of Napoleon, Henry county, Ohio, have invented a. new and improved Extension and Clump Clothes-Post; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which '-will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the snme,referenee being had to the accompanying drawings, forming Iport of this specification. Y
This invention relates to an improvement in clothes-posts, and consists in a. post working in a groove, and of a clamp for securing the line. In the accompanying drawings- Figure 1 is a front view of my improved clothes-post,

The advantages of this improved clothes-post are manifold. "hc line can be more expeditiously hung and removed, whatever be the state oi tbeweuther, there being no knots to secure or untie; the clothes can be hung without the person hanging them standing o the ground, and thc posts then hoisted till line and clothes are altogether out of the way. l

The combination of the sliding part B, provided with the spring-pewl b, and having tbc removable clamp D secured to its upper end, and adjusted by means of the thumb-screw F, all constructed and operating substantially as described for the purpose-specified.
