SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 692,103, dated January 28, 1902. Application filed Tune 5, 1901. Serial No. 63,256. (No model.)

Be it known that I, EDWARD L. BAILEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Streator, in the county of Lasalle, State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Paste-Buckets and Stands Therefor; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to a paste-bucket and stand therefor; and it has for its object to provide a stand which will support a pastebucket in such elevated position as not to require stooping over and which may support a burner to heat the contents of the bucket when desired, a further object of the invention being to provide a bucket that will be held firmly in the stand or support and which will prevent drippings from running onto the floor.

An additional object of the invention is to provide a combined drain and support for the paste-brush which will permit of supporting the brush in such manner as not to get the brush dirty, other objects and advantages of the invention being apparent from the following description.

In the drawings forming a portion of this specification, and in which like numerals of reference indicate similar parts in the several Views, Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the bucket-holder with the bucket in place thereon. Fig. 2 is a perspective view showing the support or holder in folded position. Fig. 3 is a detailed view of' one member of the support or holder.

Referring now to the drawings, the bucketsupport is in the form of a tripod and consists of the three members 5, 6, and 7, having the rubber feet 8 at the lower end, and the ends of each of which members are disposed divergingly. At the central portion of each member are the projecting spaced fingers 10 and 11. The fingers of the member 5 are straight and are provided with verticallyalining perforations, and the fingers of the members 6 and 7 are bent laterally at their ends, and these laterally-bent portions are provided with vertically-alinlng perforations, the fingers being so spaced that they may be brought together, as shown in the drawings, with their perforations alining to receive a pivot-bolt 12. By forming the laterally-turned ends of the fingers of the members 6 and 7 said members are permitted to be folded flat against the member 5, as will be understood, and the members may be thus swung to stand one hundred and twenty degrees apart or to fold fiat.

In the inner faces of the upper ends of the members 5, 6, and 7 are formed the notches 13, which are adapted to receive the flange 14, which projects outwardly from the bottom of the paste-bucket 15, it being understood that the members may be swung so as to receive the flange of the bucket and to hold it firmly in place.

The inner faces of the members 5, 6, and 7 are provided with shoulders 16, 17, and 18 below the notches'above described, and which shoulders are adapted to receive and support a lamp in the form of a pan 19, having an opening in its upper portion provided with a foraminous cover, and in which pan is disposed a porous material to receive the fuel. This lamp may be used when access to warm water cannot be had for the mixing of the paste. It will be seen that when it is desired to remove the lamp or the bucket from the support it is only necessary to fold the members of the support against each other, when the bucket and lamp may be removed.

To support the paste-brush when not in use, a combined drain and support 20 is attached to one side of the bucket, which is adapted to receive and hold the brush so that the drippings therefrom will not fall upon the floor.

What is claimed is- The combination with a paste-bucket having an outwardly-directed flange at its base, of a tripod therefor, the legs of the tripod having laterally projecting fingers pivotally connected for movement of the legs in a commonhorizontal plane, said legs having notches in the inner faces of the upper ends thereof to receive and hold the base-flange of thebucket against movement in all directions, said legs having also notches in their inner faces below the first-named notches to receive and support a lamp.
