Be it known that I, GEORGE ALBERT WIE- LAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at Duluth, in the county of St. Louis and State of Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Suspensories; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the inven tion, such as will enable Others skilled in the art't'o which it appertains to make and use the same.

My invention relates to improvements in anatomical suspensories, and particularly to that class of suspensories designed for the support of the scrotum and contents, and has for its Object the provision of a pouch having a regularly-formed aperture or apertures of the requiredsize and shape, the walls thereof being spaced a consider-able distance apart at all times, and said aperture or apertures being to One side of the Vertical longitudinal mid'- sectional line of said pouch and constantly maintained in an open condition to accommodate the male member without inconvenience to the Wearer, the aperture in some pouches being on the left-hand side and in others on the right-hand side, so that the purchaser can call for'and secure either style, or

structed With two front apertures, One to one side of the Vertical lon gitudinal lnid-sectional line of the pouch and the other On the Other side thereof, so that either aperture may be selected, according as the person dresses on the right or left hand side.

To this end the invention consists of a pouch constructed of any suitable material having a frontal aperture to one side of ,the Vertical longitudinal mid-sectional line of said pouch, said aperture being at all times the same size and shape and open to receive the male Organ Without the walls of the aperture having to be spread or the wearer inconvenienced by the walls of the aperture fitting too tightly upon said male Organ.

It also consists of a pouch having two frontal apertures, one of which is located to One side of the Vertical longitudinal mid-sectional line of the pouch and adjacent to the supportingband of the pouch and the other aperture being located on the other side of said line,the edges of said apertures being finished around with binding, and said apertures remaining at all times open and spread apart and of a shape and size to readily receive and accommodate the male member without cutting or rubbing the wearer, one of the apertures be ing designed to have the male Organ project through the same at all times.

In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view ofan improved anatomical suspensory constructed in accordance with my invention. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of a pouch, showing a slightly-modified form of the same.

In suspensories as heretofore constructed, in which the penis is designed to constantly project through an aperture provided in the pouch thereof, said aperture has been located centrally of the Vertical longitudinal mid-sectional line o f-the pouch. I have found from experience and also from the testimony of contain the penis, but the latter always projects through one of the frontal apertures. The aperture is made of a size and shape to admit of the ready passage of the penis through the same and for its accommodation without crowding or pinching while in this position.

In Carrying Ou-t my invention A in the drawings represents a pouch constructed of any suitablefabric or webbiug, upon the front of which (see Fig. 1) and to one side of the Vertical longitudinal mid-sectional line thereof is provided an aperture B. This aperture is of a size and shape usually provided in and through which the male member is designed to constantly project. The edges of The pouch of my suspensory is not intended to,

The apertu re is also located at such a point vertically and horizontally from the Vertical longitudinal mid-sectional line of the pouch and from the upper edge of the pouch as to best accommodate the male Organ and the convenience of the wearer. This location, as seen in the drawings, is preferably at the extreme upper edge of the pouch and near the rear edge thereof.

In Fig. 1 I have shown aperture B on the left-hand side of the pouch, which Would accommodate a person who dresses on the lefthand side. For a person who dresses on the right-hand side the aperture would be On the right side of the pouch. The pouch is supported by any suitable belt, as C, as shown, and straps D.

By means of my invention the bunching of all the contained parts immediately in front is avoided, and the parts are suspended in a more natural and comfortable position to the trousers of the wearer.

In Fig. 2 I have shown a pouch A' provided with a plurality of finished Openings a', one located to One side of the Vertical longitudinal mid-sectional line of the pouch and the other located at the other side thereof, the edges of each of the openings being bound aroundwith finishing-binding a By means of this construction a purchaser can use either frontal aperture desired, and will therefore be enabled to wear the suspensory With convenience and ease, as the parts are permitted to remain in a natural position.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- 1. As an improved article of manufacture, a suspensory provided with a pouch having a frontal aperture located to one side of the Vertical mid-sectional line thereof, the walls of said aperture being at all times spaced a considerable distance apart and the aperture being constantly of a shape and size to receive the male member and to accommodate the same continuonsly withoutinconvenience to the Wearer, substantially as described.

As an improved article of manufacture, a suspensory provided with a pouch having a frontal aperture located to one side of the Vertical mid-sectional line thereof, the walls of said aperture being bound around with a suitable finishing-binding and at all times spaced a considerable distance apart and the aperture being constantly of a shape and size to receive the male member and to accommodate the same without inconvenience to the wearer, substantially as described.

As an improved article of manufacture, a suspensory provided with a pouch having a frontal aperture to One side of the Vertical mid-sectional line thereof and adjacent to the supporting-band of the pouch, the walls of said aperture being bound around with a suitable finishing-binding and at all times spaced a eonsiderable distance apart, the aperture being constantly of a shape and size to receive the male member and to accommodate the same continuously without incon- Venience to the wearer, substantially as described.
