TO ALL WHOM IT MAY OONOERNz' Be it known that I, OTIS SHEPARD, 'of Alton, Madison county, Illinois, have invented a new and improved combined Boot-Jack, Wrench, etc.; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use th accompanying drawings forming partof this specification.

The present invention relates to a novel oonstruction'of a boot-jack, whereby it can be used as a wrench, a tack or nail-drawer or extractor, a bolt-drawer, a saw-set, and a wrench for screwing olf nuts to wagon-axles.

In the accompa'nying plate of drawings my combined boot-jack, wrench, etc'., is illustrated Figure 1 being a plan 01' top view of the same, and

Figure 2 a central longitudinal vertical section.

A, in the drawings, represents a boot-jaek, having jaws, B, For the heel to thei hoot, whichjaws, at their outer ends, 0, are made of a prong or claw-shape, so that they can be used for extracting or drawing out tacks, nails, etc. The sides E and end F of the main portion of the boot-jack are cut out at various points into squareshapecl notches D, of various sizes, suitable for nuts and bolt-heads, of varying sizes, thus constituting a wrench; and at the points G of the boot-jack slits H are made, which can be used as a means of setting the teeth of saw-blades. H the prop or support for the boot-jack, which is made of suitable shape for turning on and off nuts to wagon-axles;

I claim as new, anddesire to secure by Letters Patent- As a new article of manufacture a boot-jack, provided with the tack-extractor e, wrenches D upon its sides E and end F, saw-sets H, and wagon-wrench I in the support H, as herein shown and described.
