To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that 1, WILLIAM H. BENSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Heading, in the countyof Berks and State of Penn sylvania, have invented certain new and use ful Improvements in Combination Banlithe same, reference being bad to the aecompanying drawings, and to the letters and figures the muslin back, while sccurelybinding them 1 together, will readily bend and reduce the 1 thickness of the combined book. as the checks of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

The object of this invention is to furnish a pocketbook which will. contain. the blankbook, cheek-book, do, required by a bank I depositor, in conyenicnt and compact form and permit of their being readily removed and replaced when desired.

In making; use of the combined book it is intended that the bank-book E shall be removed from its pocket D when deposits are made. When checks are drawn or deposits made, they are recorded in the book G, and as the checks are removed from the tablet C are reduced in number. hen all are used, another similar tablet can be substituted as All parts are in the most convenient place with relation to each other, and when the book is closed it is so compact to occupy a very limitcd amount of pocket-space.

The form of check-book shown in Fig. 2 may be used instead of that shown in Fig. 1, it gdcsired. The record-book will not; be neccssary then, as each check in this form is attached to a stub of the same length. I,l1ow- 5 ever, prefer the arrangement first described,

I am aware that Patent No. 168,796 shows a bank-book permanently attached to a cover and a check-hook inclosed in the same case. I disclaim the construction therein described.

What I' desire to secure. are the tolloning claims:

l. A banlebook consisting of a case having: a llap, A, and an inside pocket, 13, on one in combination with a check-book having a back, C, removably held in said pocket B, and abank-book placed in said pocket D, the flaps A being adapted to cover the ban lc-book and be inserted in the pocket D, substantially A bank-book consisting of a case having a flap, A, and an inside pocket, B, on one side, and an outside pocket, D,and the inside face of the pocket H. On the inner face of 5 pocket F on the other, in combination with the other side of the case A is formed a pocket, 1 a check-book having a back, C. rcmoyably held in said pocket B, a record-book similarly held in the pocket F, and a bank-b00k placed in said pocket D, the flaps A being adapted to cover the bank book and be inserted in the pocket D, substantially as set forth.
