The carrying device of textile cloth according to the present invention comprises at least two pairs of endless carrier belts provided in parallel for carrying the textile cloth forward, each pair of the endless carrier belts having an interval therebetween which can be desirably adjusted, in which the endless carrier belts of each pair are respectively driven from separate driving sources and each belt in a pair of the endless carrier belts is laterally movable, whereby at least two sheets of textile cloth can be simultaneously carried, wherein intervals respectively between the endless carrier belts in pairs are variable corresponding to the change of width of cloth and textile cloth in one sheet and of a large width can be carried as required.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION In the heat treatment of textile cloth such as by drying and heat-setting, it has been conventional to use the endless carrier belts for smoothly carrying the textile cloth forwardly over the belt.
This carrier belt usually consists of an endless revolvable chain which has selvage needles on the edges, which needles can effectively grip the selvage of cloth to guide the textile cloth in the direction of carriage.
The endless carrier belt of the conventional type as above described isnormally designed in such a way that the endless carrier belts are formed in a pair with an interval therebetween so as to be desirably adjusted and adapted to various widths of cloth. This type of the carrier belt is however not capable of carrying except only one sheet of cloth.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF INVENTION A primary object of the present invention is therefore to provide a device which can carry at least two sheets of textile cloth simultaneously for heat treatment by having at least two pairs of endless carrier belts in parallel to each other, each pair consisting of two endless carrier belts.
Another object of the invention is to provide a device which has a plurality of pairs of endless carrier belts in parallel, each pair consisting of two endless carrier belts, and respective one of the endless carrier belts can be moved desirably corresponding to the different widths of textile cloth.
Another object of the invention is to provide a device which can drive at least two pairs of the endless carrier belts separately in order to process the textile cloth driven to run at different speeds and thereby attain the simultaneous processing of textile cloth of defferent characters.
Another object of the invention is to use the pairs of endless carrier belts to operate in a collective way to process a sheet of textile cloth of a large width.
These and other objects and advantages of the invention will be achieved by means of parts of the invention and the operation thereof, as shown by way of example in the embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawing and the description as detailed in the following. It is to be understood that various changes and modifications in the particulars of the structure of the invention may all be comprised in the scope and spirit of the present invention.
According to the invention, there is provided a carrier device of textile cloth which comprises at least two pairs of endless carrier belts for carrying the textile cloth in a heat treating apparatus of textile cloth, each pair of the endless carrier belts having an interval being desirably adjusted by moving each belt laterally, said pairs of endless carrier belts beingarranged in parallel and having respectively separate driving sources, whereby each pair of the endless carrier belts may carry different cloth at desired speeds, wherein the intervals between the endless carrier belts can be respectively varied in response to the change of widths of the cloth and if desired the endless carrier belts may be collected for use to carry the textile cloth of a large width.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION With reference to the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the invention will be illustrated in detail. As shown in FIG. 1, there are provided two pairs of endless carrier belts A, B and C, l) passing through a drying chamber 1 and heat-setting chamber 2 to carry two kinds of sheets of textile cloth X and Y. These endless carrier belts are respectively provided with motors 3 and4.
That is, sprocket wheels 5 and 6 engage with the endlesscarrier belts A and B. These sprocket wheels 5 and 6 are fixed at a first drive shaft 7, an endof which extends outwardly over other endless carrier belts C and and is journalled on bearings 8 and 9, also, other ends of the endless carrier belts A and B are supported by idle sprocket wheels 5 and 6'. Thereby the endless belts A and B are revolved by the motor 3.
The endless carrier belts C and D are fixed with a second drive shaft 10 having sprocket wheels 11 and 12. The second drive shaft 10 as described passes through inside the curved portion of the endless carrier belts A and B, extending outwardly and journalled on bearings 13 and 14; Other ends of the endless carrier belts C and D are supported by idle sprocket wheels 11' and 12'. The motor 4 connected to the second drive shaft 10 drives the endless carrier belts C and D to rotate.
These belts C and D housed in a support casing 15 are moved to rotate in the casin The described idle sprockets 11 and 12 are mounted on a shaft which is fixed at the support casing. A slidable member 16 on the underside of the support casing moves along the guide rail l7and 18, which are provided crossing with each endless carrier belts.
The interval between the endless carrier belts can be adjusted by laterally sliding along the guide rails 17, 18.
The endless carrier belts A, B and C, D each have a large number of projecting needles 19 along the lengths thereof to hold the selvage of cloth to carry.
Construction of each endless carrier belt and the mechanism for transferring the belt laterally are same as those conventionally known.
Operation of the endless carrier belt will now be described. In the carrying device of textile cloth of the invention the endless carrier belts A, B and endless carrier belts C, D respectively are operated to move one endless carrier belt A, B and one endless carrier belt C,
D individually and in lateral directions and desirably adjust the intervals respectively between the belts A, B and C, D. When the widths 1 and 1 respectively of the textile cloth X and Y as shown in the drawing are different from each other, it is possible to adjust the intervals of belts corresponding to the different widths of cloth.
As the endless carrier belts A, B and C, D are respectively driven by separate motors, the textile cloth X and Y respectively carried by pairs of the endless belts can be moved at different speeds individually corresponding to the character of the textile cloth. Thus, the staying time of the endless carrier elts in the drying chamber and heat-setting chamber may be adequately selected to meet the character of each textile cloth.
For example, an endless carrier belt C may be singly moved to right in the arrow (a) direction as shown on FIG. 1 to a position C shown by the two-dot-chain lines and the endless carrier belt B may be moved to right in the arrow (a) direction to a position B shown by the three-dot-chain line, whereby the interval between the endless carrier belts C and D can be reduced to minimum and the interval between the endless carrier belts A and B increased to maximum. ln consequence, textile cloth of a larger width L may be carried in one sheet by the belts A and B.
The above is the description particularly showing the operation of the endless carrier belts when the belts are moved to the right. The belts also can be moved to the left for the adjustment of intervals in the similar way as above dscribed.
When it is desired to increase the interval of the endless carrier belts C and D as previously provided, the endless carrier belts B and C may be moved to the left in the direction of the arrows (b) and (b).
The width L of the cloth thus extended to maximum for one sheet is same as that of the cloth likewise extended to maximum in the endless carrier belts as previously set up in pair. Therefore, the driving chamber and heat-setting chamber employed for the treatment of textile cloth may be used to maximum extent.
FIG. 2 illustrates another embodiment of the invention. In this embodiment, other pair of endless carrier belts C and D are mounted on the same shaft as the first drive shaft 7 moving the pair of endless carrier belts A and B.-ln this case, sprocket wheels 11 and 12 of the endless carrier belts C and D will make idle rotation. The sprocket wheels 11 and 12 have idly movable chain wheels 20 and 21 integrally constructed therewith. Chain wheels 22 and 23 are fixedly mounted on the second drive shaft which is rotatably driven by motor 4. These chain wheels 22 and 23 and the abovementioned chain wheels and 21 are connected by chains 24 and 25.
The endless carrier belts C and D are thus moved through driving of the second drive shaft 10.
The type of the mechanism as described aove has the same effect as that of the first embodiment.
It has in addition the advantage of being able to arrange a plurality of pairs of endless carrier belts in one line at the edge so that the textile cloth can be taken out conveniently from the belts.
The invention permits the device simultaneous heat treatment of at least two sheets of textile cloth, carrying of cloth by changing the interval between belts corresponding to various widths of cloth, and control of processing time for heat treatment to meet the character of textile cloth of many kinds. The device can process the textile cloth of a large width in one sheet by collecting the carrier belts together, that is, by having the interval in some pair of endless carrier belts increased to maximum and that of other pair of carrier belts decreased to minimum. Particularly, these operations can be made most simply by a unit of device to obtain a satisfactory effect for heat treatment.
What is claimed is:
1. A conveyer system for carrying textile cloth for heat treatment wherein textile cloth is carried forward from a drying chamber through a heat-setting chamber to a predetermined position which comprises a drying chamber, a heat-setting chamber, at least two pairs of endless carrier belts provided in parallel passing through said chambers, each pair of said endless carrier belts having an interval therebetween so as to be desirably adjusted, said two pairs of the endless carrier belts being driven individually respectively from separate driving sources and each endless carrier belt in a pair of the endless carrier belts being laterally movable and collectable to carry textile cloth of a large width.
2. A conveyer system as claimed in claim 1, wherein a drive shaft for moving a pair of endless carrier belts is extended over the outside of an adjacent pair of endless carrier belts and journalled on bearings and the drive shaft of said adjacent endless carrier belts passes through the first pair of endless carrier belts to extends outwardly and journalled on bearings.

A conveyer system as claimed in claim 1, wherein a first drive shaft to move a pair of endless carrier belts is extended and on its extension is mounted sprocket wheels of second pair of endless carrier belts to rotate idly, said sprocket wheels being integrally constructed with idly movable chain wheels of the first drive shaft, having one more drive shaft being provided side by side along the first drive shaft, said chain wheels on the first drive shaft are connected with chain wheels of the second drive shaft.

Claims (3)

1. A conveyer system for carrying textile cloth for heat treatment wherein textile cloth is carried forward from a drying chamber through a heat-setting chamber to a predetermined position which comprises a drying chamber, a heat-setting chamber, at least two pairs of endless carrier belts provided in parallel passing through said chambers, each pair of said endless carrier belts having an interval therebetween so as to be desirably adjusted, said two pairs of the endless carrier belts being driven individually respectively from separate driving sources and each endless carrier belt in a pair of the endless carrier belts being laterally movable and collectable to carry textile cloth of a large width.
2. A conveyer system as claimed in claim 1, wherein a drive shaft for moving a pair of endless carrier belts is extended over the outside of an adjacent pair of endless carrier belts and journalled on bearings and the drive shaft of said adjacent endless carrier belts passes through the first pair of endless carrier belts to extends outwardly and journalled on bearings.
3. A conveyer system as claimed in chaim 1, wherein a first drive shaft to move a pair of endless carrier belts is extended and on its extension is mounted sprocket wheels of second pair of endless carrier belts to rotate idly, said sprocket wheels being integrally constructed with idly movable chain wheels of the first drive shaft, having one more drive shaft being provided side by side along the first drive shaft, said chain wheels on the first drive shaft are connected with chain wheels of the second drive shaft.
