Watts ABSTRACT: A portable holder for soap which can be held by hand with a cake of soap detachably secured thereto for use in washing, bathing and the like, especially for bathing children and invalids.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODlMENTS Referring now to FlGS. l6, there is shown a hollow body 10 having the shape of a rectangular parallelpiped, with roughened outer surfaces. All outer surfaces other than bottom surface 12 are provided with various finger receiving recesses 14 and 16. The rough surface enhances gripping in a nonslip manner and the recesses provide supports for fingers.

A plurality of suction cups 18. arranged in rows and columns and lying in a common plane. extend transversely outward from surface 12.

A cake of soap 20 can be dctachably secured by these cups as shown.

A cruciform shaped brace or support 22 can be disposed within the body to provide additional rigidity and. at the same time, to divide the body into four like hollow chambers or compartments 24.

1 claim:

1. A new portable holder or support for a cake of soap, said holder comprising:

a rectangular parallelpiped shaped body;

a plurality of suction cups adapted to detachably secure said cake to said body, said cups extending transversely to a selected surface of the body and lying in a common plane said body defining a hollow sealed ca\it of \olume sutti cient to displace a weight of water greater than the con bined weight 01 said body, said suction cups and said cake otsoap reduced by the weight of water displaced by said cake of soap;

a cruciform shaped brace disposed in said bod emit and dividing same into four like hollow chambers. said brace adding rigidity to said body; and

the exposed surfaces ofsaid body other than that supporting said cups are rough to prevent slippage when the holder is held by the hand and are provided with indentations which can be grasped by fingers.
