Description
(NoflModeL) O. A. FISHER.
GAME APPARATUS.
Patented July 15, 1884.
' .dttorney UNITED STATES PATENT i OFFICE.
CHARLES A. FISHER, OF CALVERT, TEXAS.
GAM E APPARATUS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 301,875, dated July 15, 1884.
Application filed April 23, 1884. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, OHARLEs A. FISHER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Calvert, in the county of Robertson and State of Texas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Game Apparatus, of which which Figure 1 is an elevation of a ring. Fig. 2 is a section on the line at w of Fig. 3. Fig.- 3
is a transverse section through the diameter of the ring.
.The letter A indicates a ring, made preferably of hard wood, though any other suitable material may be employed for this purpose. This ring has a recess cut on the inside, as
' shown in Figs. 2 and 3, into which is cast or otherwise inserted a ring of metal, 13. The Width and thickness of this ring will depend upon the dimensions of the recess in wooden ring A, and by thismeans the weight of any number of wooden rings A of the same size may be varied to suit the requirements of different persons playing this game. The size of the ring A which I prefer is four inches in one direction by nine inches in outside diameter; but I do not confine myself to any fixed surface 05 sufficient width and length for the purpose must be provided.
I do not confine myself to any particular shaped: objects to set up and knock down in playing the game. They may be in the shape of short cylinders of wood having a flat base to stand-upon, or of other suitable material in the form of figurespf men constructed to stand in a vertical position when placed upon a fiat wooden surface.
Having described my invention, what I desire to secure'by Letters Patent, andclaim,
1. As part of a game apparatus, a ring of wood of a form adaptedv to be rolled over a flat surface, having aring of metal cast in a groove cut in its inner surface, in the manner shown and described, and for the purposes set forth.
2. In game apparatus, a'wooden ring having a recess cut on the inside, in combination with a metal ring cast therein, as shown and described, and for the purposes set forth.
.3. In a game apparatus, the ring A, having a flattened periphery adapting it to roll on a flat surface having arecess on the inside, in combination with-a ring, B, cast insaid recess, as described, and for the purposes set forth.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two'witnesses.
CHARLES A. FISHER.
