  • the present invention relates to textile drawing mechanisms and more particularly to textile drawing mechanisms which include a set of top belts guided by a top belt cage and cooperating with ⁇ a set of top rolls of the drawing mechanism.
  • top belt cage In textile drawing mechanisms ⁇ of this type the top belt cage is loosely connected to the top roll .loading means and has a certain amount of play which sometimes results in improper alignment of the top belt cage with respect to the remainder of the drawing mechanism. Such improper alignment results in undesirable operation of the drawing mechanism.
  • One of the objects of the present invention is to provide a top roll loading means and a top belt cage which cooperate with each other in a manner which guarantees proper alignment of the top belt cage.
  • Another object of the present invention is to guarantee this proper alignment of the top belt cage While at the same time providing the top belt cage with the necessary freedom of movement with respect to the top roll loading means.
  • a further object of the present invention is to provide an arrangement where proper alignment of the top belt cage is assured and at the same time a spring for urging the top belt cage downwardly toward the drawing belt is unnecessary.
  • An ladditional object of the present invention is to provide an arrangement where the top belt cage cooperates with a saddle member of the top roll loading means in a manner enabling this -saddle member and cage to retain the shaft of the top rolls cooperating with the saddle member in its operating position while at the same time guaranteeing proper alignment of the top belt cage.
  • the objects of the present invention include the 'provision of a structure capable of accomplishing the above objects ⁇ and at the same time being ruggedly and simply constructed and reliable in operation.
  • the present invention mainly consists of a textile drawing mechanism which includes a top roll loading means provided with a saddle member.
  • a top belt cage member cooperates with this saddle member, and a guide means is formed in part by the cage member and in part by the saddle member for guiding the cage member for turning movement with respect to the saddle member substantially about the axis of the top rolls which cooperate with the saddle member.
