The present invention relates to improvements in game or puzzle.

An object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus which is well adapted for use as a, game or as a puzzle.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a first and backing member upon which a plurality of zoo figures may be positioned and a second transparent member overlying the first member and zoo figures, the second member having markings for substantially concealing the zoo figures to provide an interesting puzzle.

Still another object of the present invention is to provide such means that are simple in construction and economical of manufacture.

various other objects and advantages will become apparent from the detailed description to follow. The best forms in which I have contemplated applying my invention are clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein:

Figure 1 is a perspective View of the invention which provides a puzzle;

Figura 2 is a top plan view of the form disclosed in Figure 1; and

Figure 3 is a vertical transverse sectional view taken substantially along the plane of line 3-3 of Figure 2.

Referring more particularly to the drawings, wherein like numerals designate like parts throughout, the numeral [2 designates generally the form of the invention which is adapted to be employed as a puzzle.

In th form disclosed in Figures 1 through 3, an apparatus has been provided which is well adapted either as a game or as a puzzle. The apparatus !2 is comprised of a backing member 28 which is opaque and a second member 30 which is substantially transparent secured thereto by means of the joinder element 32 which is disposed along a common edge of the two members 28 and 30. Glue or other adhesive means may be employed for joining the apparatus at 32. The transparent member 30 is formed with markings which are adapted to substantially conceal any indicia disposed thereunder, but it should be noted that the markings in themselves constitute a picture. A plurality of elements 34 are provided which have zoo figures 36 inscribed thereon. The elements 34 are adapted to be positioned between the hacking plate 28 and the transparent member 30, such as is shown in Figure 5. The entire apparatus is then manually vibrated until the parts 34 are dispersed underneath the transparent plate 30. The object of the puzzle is to now point out where the various zoo figures are disposed beneath the transparent member 30. Of course, this will be rendered diflicult because of the indicia markings on the transparent plate.

The backing plate 28 should be substantially opaque for best results. Of course, other colors may be employed if desired, and other figures such as pixies, elves and fairies may be substituted forvthe zoo figures.

From the foregoing description, taken in conjunction with the drawings, it is believed that an apparatus has been provided which will accomplish all of the objects hereinabove set forth.

Having described the invention, what is claimed as new is:

A puzzle device consisting of an opaque backing sheet, a transparent cover sheet of substantially the same size as the backing sheet hingedly attached thereto in normally superposed relation and a relatively small intermediate sheet member loosely disposed between the backing sheet and the cover sheet, said intermediate sheet member having a normally recognizable figure inscribed thereon, said cover sheet having markin-gs of such character as to camouflage the normally recognizable figure when the cover sheet is disposed in position upon said intermediate sheet.
