Be it known that we, HENRY F. KNODERER and LEVI F. KNODERER, of Ohillicothe, in the county of Ross and State of Ohio, have in and will effectually revent the depositionjand 5 accumulation of lime-scale from any water 11 holding lime in solutiony What we claim as our invention, anddesire to secure by Letters Patent, is l The application of a compound Of 3111111,? glue, wood-ashes, and wheat-bran, prepared 1 and applied as above specified, to preventlthe f deposition and accumulation of lime, known: as lime-scale, upon theinterior of steamboilers and pipes of whatever kind, :as herein specified andsuhstantially set forth.
