It will be noted that the width of the foot is slightly less in dimension than the width between the sides of the inner surfaces thereof. This is desirable since the spring foot may have a length along the edge 3-1v sufiicient to permit a slight lateral movement only, of the spring during period of time before and while the anchoring device is being inserted and manipulated through its final gripping operation in conjunction with the construction block.

In operation, members of Wood 40 will have holes drilled therein to receive the studs 31. After the studs are inserted through the holes in the wood 40, the threaded portion of the studs 31 are threadedly connected'tothe secured nut 4l which fits between the sides 23, and'may loosely engage the bottom 22, when in inoperative position, but which definitely engages the underneath surface of the flanges 2| when the-stud bolt3l is tightened.
