I naccordance with the illustrated embodiment,
the invention comprises an elongated, insulated handle having a head member rotatably mounted on'o'ne endvof the handle, the head member defininga rectangular pocket adapted cooperatively to; receive' and hold therewithin a clamp type connector. A socket wrench element xedly securedAV to the holder extends upwardly'through the headmember and into one'end of the pocket, withthewreneh 'socket so* arranged as cooperatively to engage the headfof the screw element of the clamp connector. It will be seen from the description given, that by using the tool of the present invention, a tap connection may readily be made to a live conductor without requiring the electrician to hold, or touch directly with his hands, either of the conductors, the clamp connector unit, or any conductive part of the tool itself. The tool, therefore, eliminates the hazard formerly inherent in making connections of this type, and also simplies the work which was more or less awkward to perform with conventional tools.
Having described the invention in what is considered to be a preferred embodiment, it is desired that it be understood that the speciic details shown are merely illustrative and that the invention may be carried out in other ways.
