FOLDING ROCKING-CHAIR.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 244,841, dated July 26, 1881. Application filed September 22, 1880. (No model.)

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that'I, ELMER BANGS, of the village of Cortland, in the county of Oortland and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Folding Rocking-Chairs; and I do hereby declare that the followingis a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, which will enable others skilled in. the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

My invention relates to a folding rockingchair; and the novelty consists in the construction and arrangement of parts, as will be more fully hereinafter set forth, and specifically pointed out in the claims.

In the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my device in extended position; Fig. 2, a perspective view with. a por-.

adapted to engage the round B, and the square lower ends of the standards to bear upon the upper surfaces of the rockers A.

' Near the top of the standards 0 are pivoted the front standards,D,the lower ends of which are properly pivoted to the rockers A near from uncoupling, and the chair is ready for use.

I What I claim as new is 1. The pivoted seat E, having pins b, and standards 0, having hooks a, combined and adapted to serve with the rockers and front standards of a folding rocking-chair, as specifled.

2. The standards 0, having hooks a, the pivoted seat E, having pins 1), the standards D, having cross-round F, and the rockers A, having cross-round 13, all arranged and combined to serve as and for the purposes set forth.
