One ofthe important objects of the present inventionfis to provide a three-in-one garment,`

namely, afur coat, a cloth .coat and a cape, any' is converted into a fur coat.

Any suitable fur may beemployed in forming the fur coat and detachable fur sleevesf It is also to be understood `that the sleeves of thecloth coat may be lined in any suitable andjwell known ers, any other type o-f-separable :fastener may be equally as well employed, such as `buttons and buttonholes, snapfasteners, hooks :and eyesand I do not -wish to limitmyself to any 4particular 'type of fastenermeans. l

When the. garment .is to be Worn as a cloth coat, the body portion I I sleeves I2 and shoulder portions I3 are .0n the outsidea's Shown in Figure 2,

When the garmentis to be worn as afur coat,

that extend from the shoulder portions "f3 randa the cloth coat is reversed so that the body portion of the fur coat will be exposed to View while the body portion of the cloth coat is on the interior and concealed. The cloth sleeves I2 are extended through the shoulder openings I9 in the manner as illustrated in Figure 5. v

The detachable fur sleeves 2l are then slipped over the respective cloth sleeves I2 and the upper open ends of the fur sleeves are connected to the edges of the respective shoulder Openings by the zipper type fastener slides 23 'and 24' cooperating with the zipper tapes in the conventional manner.

When the fur sleeves are fastened in place, the cloth sleeves are entirely concealed and form 1inings for the fur sleeves and further the adjacent edges of the shoulder openings and the upper ends of the fur sleeves will be closed by the fastener means and the fur will tend to conceal the zipper fastener from view, so as not to detract e from the appearance of the fur coat.

; When it is desired to convert the garment into a iur capa, the fur sleeves 2| are detached, the cloth Sleeves I2 are pulled in through the shoulder openings I9 and are tucked down between vthe-body portions of the fur and cloth coats as shown inl the full lines in Figures 9, the dotted lines in this view showing the position of the cloth sleeve when extended out through the shoulder opening.

With the cloth sleeves tucked down between the two coats the openings I9 are thenclosed by its zipper fastener thereby presenting a sleeveless cape of the type illustrated in Figure 3. 'Ihe collar may be pulled upwardly if desired, as also shown in this gure.

While I have shown one fastening means for attaching the fur sleeves to the fur coat and for also closing the shoulder openings when the garment is used as a cape, it is to -be understood that two pairs of fasteners may be employed, one for attaching the fur sleeves and the other, for closing the shoulder openings in the cape.

It will thus be seen from the foregoing descripvtion that I have provided a three-in-one garment that can be readily and easily converted into a fur coat, a cloth coat or a sleeveless cape thereby producing economy and saving considerable space when storing the garment and obviating the necessity of having to purchase three such separate garments. k

While I have shown the vpreferred embodiment of my invention, it isto be understood that various changes in the size, shape and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit o f the invention and the scope of the appended claims.

Having thus described claim is:

1. A garment comprising a coat body having shoulder portions provided with arm openings, detachable sleeves connected to the shoulder portions at the edges of the respective arm openings for disposition on the exterior of the coat body when attached, and means for' closing said openings when the sleeves are detached to form a cape, the means for closing the arm openings also serving as the means for attaching the detachable sleeves.

2. A garment comprising two coats of diiTerent the invention, what l `materials arranged in superposed relation and united at their front and top portions to provide a unitary structure, one of said coats having permanent sleeves, the other coat having arm openings in its shoulder portions, and detachable sleeves connected to the shoulder portions at the edges of the respective arm openings, the permanently connected sleeves being capable of being tucked in between the body portion of the two coats to convert the garment into a sleeveless cape when the detachable sleeves are removed.

3. A garment comprising two coats of diierent materials arranged in superposed relation and united at their front and top portions to provide a unitary structure, one of said coats having permanent sleeves, the other coat having arm openings in its shoulder portions, detachable sleeves connected to the shoulder portions at the edges of the respective arm openings, the permanently connected sleeves being capable of being tucked in between the body portions of the two coats to convert the garment into a sleeveless cape when the detachable sleeves are removed, and means for closing said armvopenings, when the garment is worn as a cape.

A garment comprising a cape including a body portion and shoulders, said shoulders having arm openings, a coat including a body portion, shoulders and sleeves, said cape and coat being arranged in superposed relation. and secured along their front and top portions to provide a unitary structure, the sleeves of the coat adapted to extend outwardly through the arm openings when thegarment is worn as a coat, said sleeves being tucked in between the body portions of the cape and coat when the garment is worn as a cape, and means for closing the arm holes when the garment is worn as a cape.

5. A garment comprising a cape including a body portion and shoulders, said shoulders having arm openings, a coat including a body portion, shoulders and sleeves, said cape and coat being arranged in superposed relation and secured along their front and top portions `to provide a unitary structure, the sleeves of the coat adapted to extend outwardly rthrough the armV openings when the garment isworn as a coat, said sleeves being tucked in between the body portions or the cape and coat when the garment is worn as a cape, means for closing the arm holes when the garment is worn as a cape, and a single collar for the cape and the coat.

A garment comprising a fabric coat including a body portion, shoulders and sleeves; a fur coat including a body portion, and shoulders having. arm openings, said coats being arranged in superposed relation and united at their front and top portions, to provide a' unitary reversible structure, fur sleeves detachably secured to the shoulder portions of the fur coat at the arm openings, the sleeves of the fabric coat being disposed outwardly through the arm openings and the fur sleeves disposed thereover when the garment is worn as a fur coat, united collar portions at the top portions of the two coats, and means for closing the arm openings in the fur coat when the fur sleeves are detached and the sleeves of the fabric coat are tucked in between the body portions of the two coats, to produce a sleeveless cape.

'7. A garment comprising a fabric coat including a body portion, shoulders and sleeves; a fur coat including a body portion, and shoulders having arm openings, said coats being arranged in superposed relation and united at their front and top portions, to provide a unitary reversible structure, fur sleeves detachably secured to the shoulder portions of the fur coat at the arm openings, the sleeves of the fabric coat being disposed outwardly through the arm openings and the iur sleeves disposed thereover when the garment is worn as a fur coat, united collar portions at the top portions of the two coats, and means for closing the arm openings in the fur coat when the fur sleeves are detached and thevsleeves of the fabric coat are tucked in between the body portions of the two coats, to produce a sleeveless cape, the means for closing the arm openings also serving as the means for` attaching the fur sleeves to the fur coat.

8. In a device, as described, a convertible garment comprising a coat and a' cape attached together and adapted for interchangeable use; the coat being provided with sleeves, and the cape With arm holes, the sleeves of the coat being tucked away between the cape and said coat, when the combination is used as a cape; and means for closing the arm holes in the latter instance.

9. In an invention, as claimed in claim 8, and wherein the said closing means may consist of a zipper arrangement.

10. In an invention, as claimed in claim 8 and whereinthe coat-,and cape aresecuredtogether at their top. i

11. In an invention, as claimed in .claim 8 and wherein the coat and cape are secured together at their top, and having connected thereto a single collar. v
