In utilizing our novel abrasive device for the I i purpose of removing superfluous hair from the skingsurface, for instance of the vlegs or arms', the devicel is conveniently grasped by means of the knob 6 with two ngersof the-operative hand straddling theknob and in contact With the arcuately outlined section 8 of the knob. i Proper `and suc'ient pressure may thenbe exerted by the fingers against the vportion of thedisc 5 immediiiexing of the device to conform to the contour of the skinfsurface being abraded. 'The support-V ing surface 5 is of suincient flexibility and rigiditytopermit this conformation' to the surface jbeing abraded and yet to permit Ait to return to its substantially'planeconditionupon removal of the device from the skin surface. ;After the device has been used to such an ex.-
