(o1.. 24s- 94) I This invention relates generallyto the class of. supports and pertains particularly to an adjustable and foldingsupport for funnels.

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a funnel support which may be readily attached to a wall face or other supporting body over a counter, table or (the like and which is designed to be secured in 'a vertically adjusted position so that the supported funnel may be disposed at a desired elevation above a receptacle'and which is also adapted to be folded when not in use so that 'the funnel engaging part of the support'will be out of the way;

Another object of the invention is to provide a folding andvertically adjustable'funnel support which is of relatively simple construction but may also be economically produced.

The invention will be best understood from a consideration of the following detailed description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, it being understood, however, that the invention is not to be considered as limited by the specific illustration or description but that such illustration and description constitute a preferred embodiment of the invention.

At its outer or free end the arm is somewhat enlarged and is substantially circular in form as indicated at l5 and in this outer end portion there is formed a funnel opening IS the edge face of which is tapered to approximately a 60 angle to substantially conform to the taper of the funnel to be received therein. Inwardly of the opening Hi there is formed a second and smaller opening ll, also of tapered form, to receive a smaller funnel.

It will be readily apparent from the foregoing that the device herein described provides a simpic but desirable means of supporting funnels while using the same for filtering or other operations and that the position of the funnel may be easily and quickly arranged with respect to an underlying receptacle and also that the supporting arm may be readily shifted from horizontal to vertical position so as to be well out of the way when not in use.

While the present device has been described as being made of wood it, will of course, be apparent that it may be made of metal if desired or of any other suitable material.

What is claimed is:

l. A funnel support comprising an elongated body adapted to be secured in vertical position to a supporting structure, an elongated slide, means securing the slide to the supporting body facilitating adjusting the slide to desired positions on the body, an arm pivotally secured at one end to the face of the slide to be shifted into position parallel with and against the face of the slide from a working position in which it extends away from and perpendiicular to said face, said arm being formed to receive a funnel body, said arm at the pivoted end being recessed to receive the slide, said recess providing two earlike portions which extend across the side edges of the slide when the arm is in perpendicular relation thereto, to engage against the supporting body, and a bracket-like supporting body secured to the face of the slide beneath the arm and having a top surface disposed in a plane perpendicular to the face of the slide upon which said arm rests when the arm is in perpendicular relation to the slide.

2. A funnel support comprising, an elongated body adapted to be secured in vertical position to a supporting structure, said body having a face having a longitudinal channel therein, an elongated slide-strip slidably disposed in said channel, means secured to the body and having sliding connection with said strip for slidably adjustably securing the strip in positions of adjustment in the channel, a bracket-like brace secured to the lower end of the slide and extending forwardly therefrom, and an arm hingedly attached to the lower end of the slide to be swung from a vertical non-working position to a horizontal working position in which latter position the arm rests upon the top of the brace, the arm having an opening for receiving a device such as a funnel.

A structure as set forth in claim 2, in which said arm at its hinged end is cut out to form a recess in which is received the adjacent slide when the arm is in perpendicular relation to the slide, the ends of the arm at the sides of the recess being designed to abut the adjacent face of the body when the arm is perpendicular to the body.

A funnel support, comprising an elongated body designed to be secured vertically to a support, said body having a channel lengthwise of its face, an. elongated slide strip lying in said channel and having an opening formed therethrough and lengthwise thereof through the major portion of its length, a bolt secured to the body and projecting forwardly through said opening, a binding 'nut threaded on the projecting end of the bolt and adapted to press against the face of the strip to secure the strip in adjusted position in the channel, a bracket carried by the strip at its lower end and having a flat top, an arm having an end hinged to the strip above the bracket to be swung from an upright, inoperative position to a working position perpendicular to the strip, said arm when in said perpendicular position resting upon the bracket, the arm being formed to receive a funnel, and means at the inner end of the arm forming a further coupling between the arm and slide, in addition to the hinged connection, when the arm is in the last mentioned position.
