rIhis invention relates to a cabinet structure to nt under a kitchen sink and drain board.

An object of inet structure adapted to fit drain board which is economical in construction, and which is so arranged that it may be quickly and easily installed after the sink is in place without disturbing the sink or its plumbing connections.

A cabinet embodying this invention is intended to be marketed in parts or sections so arranged that they may be installed quickly and conveniently underneath a sink A, and behind a roll or skirt B of the sink. The separate parts of the structure include a front portion or assembly I, one or two side panels 2, drawer support 3, a side or a drawer 5.

The arrangement is such that the front assembly I may be tilted so it may be pushed in place behind the skirt or roll B of the sink and drain board. After the front assembly is in position the side panel or panels 2 may be added and then the compartment and drawer support 3 may be secured to the front assembly in a manner and by a means which will be described later in detail. Then with the insertion of the drawer 5 the erection is complete.

The front assembly includes a panel 6 which has openings covered by doors 'I and 8, fastened by hinges to the panel E. It has an opening to receive the drawer '5 and a like opening covered by a door 9, also hinged to the panel 6. The door 9 is on the order of a false drawer and may carry a pocket compartment I0. matching the drawer '5. As specifically illustrated the front assembly also includes a side wing II, a bevel corner member I2 and a wing member I3, having a groove I4 to receive the end of the side panel 2 and to which the side panel is secured.

As specifically shown, the structure is intended for a left hand drain board. It will be obvious, of course, that the parts may be reversed so that the cabinet may be adapted for a right hand drain board. It will also be obvious that both ends of the front construction may be similar, in which case two side panels 2 will be used, and this will be the case where the cabinet has to fit a sink having both ends spaced from the walls of the room.

The compartment 3 is open at the front to correspond with the opening covered by the door 1 and comprises a top wall I5, bottom wall IB, back wall l1 and end walls I8. Runners I9 for the drawer 5 are secured to and supported by the top wall I5 of the compartment 3.

The compartment 3, as shown in Figs. 2, rI and S, is completely detached from the front assembly I until the cabinet is installed. Convenient means have been provided whereby the compartment may be placed and held in assembly with the front portion. Blocks or guide strips 20 are secured to the inner face of the panel 6, one on each side of the opening covered by the 1. These blocks are bevelled at their tops as shown in Figs. 3 and 4. Blocks 2I are secured at the forward edge of the walls I8 with their lower ends bevelled complementary to the bevel of the blocks 20. Thus when the compartment 3 is lifted and placed between the blocks 20 and then lowered, the lower end of the blocks 2I will interlock with or nt behind the bevel on the upper ends of the blocks 20, as clearly shown in Fig. 4.

A sill 22 is secured to the inner face of the panel 6 below the opening of the door 'I and forms a support for the compartment 3 and is to be engaged by the forward bottom edge of the bottom wall I6. After the compartment 3 has been placed in position with respect to the front assembly I, it may be fastened by screws through the bottom wall I6 into the sill 22.

It has already been explained that the cabinet, before installation, consists of several separate parts.
