  • This invention relates to berry picking ⁇ sleeves and has for an object to provide a garment comprising a pair of sleeves adapted to be drawn over the larms and secured in place by a strip of canvas extending across the back of the picker, and elastic straps secured to the corners of the canvas and to the upper ends of the sleeves so that movements of the wearer will not be impeded and at the same time the sleeves will snugly fit thearms of various persons with equal comfort and convenience.

iClaim.
This invention relates to berry picking` sleeves and has for an object to provide a garment comprising a pair of sleeves adapted to be drawn over the larms and secured in place by a strip of canvas extending across the back of the picker, and elastic straps secured to the corners of the canvas and to the upper ends of the sleeves so that movements of the wearer will not be impeded and at the same time the sleeves will snugly fit thearms of various persons with equal comfort and convenience.
With the above and other objects in view the invention consists of certain novel details of construction and combinations of parts hereinafter fully described and claimed, it being understood that various modifications may be resorted vto within the scope of the appended claim without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the advantages of the invention.

Referring now to the drawing in which like characters of reference designate similar parts in the various views, I0 designates a pair of sleeves which may be formed of any desired material suitable to withstand snagging by thorns. bra-mbles, and the like, both sleeves terminating in ilngerless gloves I I. For holding the sleeves in place a substantially oblong blank of convas I4 or other suitable material is connected at each of the opposite corners to a respective sleeve by upper and lower elastic straps I5 and I6. The straps are adapted to be 5 disposed substantially horizontally across the .shoulder blades while the blank il of fabric is disposed between the shoulder blades. The straps function to hold the sleeves snugly upon the arms of persons of various sizes while at the 10 same time the blank and straps present a strong durable ventilated structure which is comfortable tothe wearer in warm weather.
The garment constructed as above described, is found particularly useful in berry picking and will 15 protect the wearers clothing from snagging upon sharp brambles and the like and also will oer great protection to the wearer against being bit ten in the arms by snakes while picking berries.
From the above description it is thought that the construction and operation of the invention will be fully understood without further explanation.
What is claimed is:
Berry picking sleeves comprising a pair of 25 sleeves adapted to be drawn over the arms of the wearer, a substantially rectangular blank of 'fabric adapted to lie against the back of the wearer between both shoulder blades, upper and lower straps of elastic material secured to the side edges of the fabric blank and adapted to extend horizontally across the shoulder blades oi the wearer, the upper straps being terminally connectedto the upper edges of the sleeves and the lower straps being terminally connected to the edges of the .s sleeves at substantially the arm pits.
