This extension II is preferably provided adjacent its lower end with a bead or rim ll adapted to engage the upper edge of the sides I when the extension is inserted therein.

It will be understood, of course, that if the articles contained in the bags I comprise candy or the like which would be improperly affected by the heat from lamp II, the latter may be kept turned 0!! and the stand used merelyfor supporting and displaying such articles.

It will thus be seen that I have provided a display and dispensing stand for such articles as nutmeats, etc. which gives a substantial supp y of the same, which is illuminated to provide an attractive appearance. and which by means of the illumination is also heated in a manner to keep the articles carried thereby warm. The device lends itself to these functional uses as well as providing an attractive and ornamental advertising device.

Of course, changes may be made in details of construction and arrangement of parts without departing from the spirit and scope of my invention. I do not limit myself, therefore, to the exact form herein shown and described, other than by the appended claims.

I claim- 1. A and display device comprising arcane a hollow plural sided housing having slots in its sides adjacent its lower end, the material struck from said sides to form said slots being bent inwardly to resiliently engage and support a lamp socket.

A dispensing and display device comprising a hollow. plural sided housing havingslots in its sides adjacent its lower end, the material struck from said sides to form said slots being bent inwardiy to resiliently engage and support a lamp socket, said supporting means having a friction material applied thereto.

A dispensing and display device comprising a hollow plural sided housing having slots in its side and means comprising material struck from said slots and projecting outwardly therefrom for supporting articles in display and dispensing position; a second housing of configuration similar to said first housing and similarly provided with slots and projecting means engageable on saidilrsthousingwhensaidtopisremoved, meansadjacentthebaseofsaidilrstmentioned housing for disseminating heat upwardly through one or both of said housings to maintain said article in relatively heated condition and means for supporting said heat g means adjacent said base, said means comprising resilient tongues having a. friction material applied thereto.
