The curler body consists of a flexible tube III made of rubber or other suitable material, and it may be formed with Ventilating perforations I I through its wall.

The wire members may be formed of a singlelength of flexible wire I2, preferably covered wire, bent to form an arm I3, a second arm I4, and a third arm I5. I5 is a metal clasp plate having an eye I1 and having ears I8 which are rolled or bent around the wire, as shown in Fig. The arms I3, I4 and I5 are each preferably in the form of a loop. In assembling the curler, the wire members vare passed through the bore ofthe tube I!) and the eye I'I of theclasp I6 is brought into registration with a perforation adjacent one end of the tube, as, for instance, the perforationV Ila.. The arm or loop I5 is somewhat longer than the arm or loop I3 and extends outwardly from the same end of the tube as the latter. The arm; or loop I5, which constitutes the hair ends clamping element of the device, is of such length that when bent over on the tube, as shown in Fig. 5, it will extend across substantially the entire length of the tube.

In theV modification shown in Fig. 8,'the tube I0 is provided with a slot 20, adjacent one end of the tube, in addition to the perforations II. In this form of the device, the arm or loop I5 passes outwardly through a slot 2li in the tube instead of passing around the end of the tube as shown in Fig. 5.

In using the device, the ends 'of the lock or strand of hair to be curledare placed upon the flexible tube IIJ and the flexible clamping arm or loop I5 is bent over and pressed down upon the hair ends whereupon the hair is rolled or wound When the desired length of hair has been wound, Ythe two clasping arms or loops I3 and I4 are bent backward Yover the hair to lock the device temporarily in place.

It is to be understood that I'do not limit myself to the precise details of construction herein illustrated and described asvarious modications thereinmay be made within the scope of the invention.

What I claim is:-

1. In a hair curler, a iiexible tube, a flexible wire member consisting of a single length of wire bent to form a unitary structure comprising three flexible loops which are bound together by a metal clasp having an extended portion formed with an eye, said wire memberbeing disposed in the bore of the tube and being fastened to the tube, adjacentone end'thereof, by means of a fastener passing through the wall of the tube and the eye of the clasp, one of the flexible wire loops extending lengthwise over the tube, the other two flexible wire loops extending outwardly from the ends of the tube, one from each end.

2. In a hair curler, a flexible tube, a flexible Wire member comprising three flexible loops forming a unitary structure bound together by a clasp, said wire member being disposed within the bore of the tube and being fastened to the tube adjacent one end, one of the flexible wire loops projecting outwardly through a slot in the tube, adjacent one end thereof, and extending lengthwise over the tube, the other two flexible wire loops extending outwardly from the ends of the tube, one from each end.

3. In a hair curler, a perforated flexible tube, a flexible wire member comprising three arms forming a unitary structure and bound together by a clasp, said wire members being disposed within the bore of the tube, a fastener passing through the clasp and through one of the perforations of the tube adjacent an end thereof for securing the wire member to the tube, one of the flexible wire arms extending lengthwise over the tube, and the other two flexible wire arms extending outwardly from the ends of the tube, one from each end.

4. In a hair curler, a. perforated flexible tube, a flexible wire member comprising three arms bound together by a clasp, said wire members being disposed within the bore of the tube, an eyelet passing through the clasp and through one of the perforations of the tube adjacent an end thereof for securing the wire member to the tube, one of the flexible Wire arms extending length- Wise over the tube, and the other two flexible Wire arms extending outwardly from the ends of the tube, one from each end.

5. In a hair curler, a perforated flexible tube, a flexible wire member consisting of a single length of covered wire bent to form three loops, a clasp binding the three loops together at a point intermediate the length of said member, said clasp having an'eye whereby it is secured to the tube, an eyelet passing through the eye and through the tube, one of the flexible wire loops extending lengthwise over the tube, the other two flexible wire loops extending outwardly from the ends of the tube, one from each end.

6. vIn a hair curler, a flexible tube, a plurality of flexible wire hair engaging loops held within the bore of the tube and extending outwardly therefrom, and a clasp binding said flexible wire loops together.

7. In a hair curler, a flexible tube, a plurality of flexible wire hair engaging arms disposed within the bore of the tube and extending outwardly therefrom, and a clasp binding said flexible wire arms together, said clasp being fastened to the tube.

8. A hair curler comprising a rubber tube and three wire engaging arms consisting of a single length of flexible covered Wire bent to form three loops which are bound together by a clasp, one of the flexible wire loops being bent to extend lengthwise over the tube, the other two wire loops extending outwardly from the ends of the tube, one from each end, and being adapted to be bent over hair wound on the tube.
