  • BACKGROUND Field of the Invention
  • The invention relates to a shoulder pad assembly worn by any individual. The shoulder pad is formed from a novel, high-strength, low weight material and includes a fastening assembly for connection to the internal garments for giving a lift up look.
  • Description of the Related Art
  • Protective shoulder pads are commonly used by athletes and other individuals to protect the individual's shoulders, chest, upper and lower back, and upper arms from impact that may result in injury. For example, protective shoulder pads are utilized in sports where collision is inherent and produces a significant risk of injury, such as football, hockey and lacrosse.
  • Looking at prior art we have seen multiple advancements in shoulder pads in similar field. For instance, a shoulder pad bearing U.S. Pat. No. 9,457,257B2 is issued to Riddell Inc. The patent is on a shoulder pad for use in a contact sport, such as football, hockey or lacrosse is provided. The shoulder pad includes a pair of curvilinear, continuous arch members joined together to define a central opening that receives the player's head. A side pad assembly, including an epaulet and a shoulder cap, is operably connected to each arch member by a flexible band that provides a common connection point on the arch member. The band provides a single pivot point for the epaulet and the shoulder cap about the common connection point. A curvilinear internal padding assembly is connected to each arch member and configured to absorb and lessen impacts received while wearing the shoulder pad and playing the contact sport.
  • Another patent on Protective shoulder pads with release mechanism bearing U.S. Pat. No. 1,022,0291B2 is issued to Riddell Inc. The patent is on a protective shoulder pads to be worn by an individual engaged in a contact sport, such as football, lacrosse or hockey, are provided. The shoulder pads protect an individual wearing the protective shoulder pads against impact to the superior, anterior, posterior and/or lateral regions of the shoulder and upper arm regions. The shoulder pads include a release mechanism that releasably couples left and right arch members of the shoulder pads and allows for removal of the shoulder pads from the individual while he or she is maintained in the supine position, thus decreasing the risk of further injuring the individual wearing the protective shoulder pads.
  • Another patent on Protective shoulder pads bearing U.S. Pat. No. 8,327,463B2 is issued to Wilson Sporting Goods Co. The patent is on a shoulder pad assembly includes a flexible vest, a pair of shoulder pads coupled to the vest, and first and second straps. The flexible vest has a back side and right and left front sides. The first strap has a first end region coupled to and extending from a first location on the back side and a second end region refastenably and selectively attached to the right or left front sides. The second strap has a third end region coupled to and extending from a second location on the back side and a fourth end region refastenably and selectively attached to the right or left front sides. At least a portion of the left front side is configured to releasably engage the first or the second straps, and at least a portion of the right front side is configured to releasably engage the first or the second straps.
  • Another patent on Shoulder Pads and Foam Material for Body Protection bearing US patent 2,017,0001096A1 is issued to Russell Brands LLC. The patent is on a protective foam material and pads are disclosed herein. The material is a rounded foam pellet having a hole through the center of the pellet. The pellets may be arranged and interconnected to form a pad. These pads may be applied to persons, animals, or other objects for protective functions.
  • Another patent on Shoulder pads bearing U.S. Pat. No. 7,647,651B2 is issued to Bauer Hockey LLC. The shoulder pads for protecting a sports player having a thorax with left and right front regions and left and right rear regions. The shoulder pads comprising first and second left front separate protective panels and first and second right front separate protective panels for covering at least partially the respective left and right front regions of the thorax, the first left front panel at least partially overlapping the second left front panel and the first right front panel at least partially overlapping the second right front panel, the first and second left and right front panels being connected together by a front elastic band allowing movement of the first left and right front panels relative to the respective second left and right front panels between an extended position, wherein there is a first front overlapping between the respective first and second left and right front panels, and a retracted position, wherein there is a second front overlapping between the respective first and second left and right front panels, the second front overlapping being larger than the first front overlapping.
  • Another patent on Shoulder pad cover bearing U.S. Pat. No. 8,726,426B2 is issued to Dell Products LP Under Armour Inc. The patent is on a garment made of a compression fabric is provided to serve as a shoulder pad covering. The garment includes a torso portion having a front portion connected to a back portion. The torso portion defines a torso opening, a neck opening, a left arm passage, and a right arm passage. A left shoulder portion is connected to the torso portion adjacent to the left arm passage. The left shoulder portion includes a left shoulder cap pocket. A right shoulder portion is connected to the torso portion adjacent to the right arm passage. The right shoulder portion includes a right shoulder cap pocket. A left epaulette passage is positioned between the neck opening and the left shoulder portion. • A patent on Shoulder pads with integral arm protectors bearing Canadian patent 2,328,023C is issued to Bauer Hockey Corp. The patent is on a protective upper body assembly comprising shoulder pads, a pair of arm protectors, and suspending means. The shoulder pads include a frontal padding element linked to a dorsal padding element by a pair of shoulder arches. Two rigid shells are connected to the shoulder arches and overlie the extremities of the shoulders. With respect to the arm protectors, the latter are capable of being integrally connected to the shoulder pads and each comprises an upper arm protector and a lower arm protector. An elbow shell bridges the lower arm protector and the upper arm protector.
  • A patent on Shoulder pad for contact sports bearing U.S. Pat. No. 7,930,773B2 is issued to Riddell Inc. The present invention provides a shoulder pad for use in a contact sport, such as football, hockey or lacrosse. The shoulder pad includes a pair of arch members, each having an upper portion, a front portion depending from the upper portion, and a rear portion depending from the upper portion. The shoulder pad further includes at least one side pad assembly having an epaulet and a shoulder cap, wherein the shoulder cap overlies the wearer's shoulder region and the epaulet overlies both the arch member and the shoulder cap. The side pad assembly is operably secured to the body arch member by a fastening assembly that includes a flexible single band. Unlike conventional designs, the single band secures both the epaulet and the shoulder cap to the upper portion of the arch member. The shoulder pad further includes a pair of interior pad assemblies wherein each interior pad assembly is removably connected to an arch member. The interior pad assembly is an integrated unit formed from a front pad, an intermediate pad, and a rear pad joined together to form distinct air management chambers.
  • There are multiple solutions that have presented in prior art regarding proper support to shoulder, saving it from injuries and not causing any problem to the wearer. However, from prior art research no similar patent is found which support any individual especially females to wear them along with their garments to give their shoulders lift up and smart look.
  • There is no existing method found to be worn by user under their garments. Therefore, consumers are forced to look for some other unusable materials to give their shoulder smart and edgy look. The inventor has designed a new assembly where layers of interfacing fabric is cut in a way to have a gradual lift towards the end of the shoulder (arm shoulder joint). The interfacing is covered with fabric then sewing into the silicone part. The silicon has groove in the middle to allow the bra straps to go through and hold it secure in there. The silicone is non-slip so the shoulder pads will not fall or make the shoulder pads look wonky like other reusable shoulder pads in the market.
  • None of the previous inventions and patents, taken either singly or in combination, is seen to describe the instant invention as claimed. Hence, the inventor of the present invention proposes to resolve and surmount existent technical difficulties to eliminate the aforementioned shortcomings of prior art.
