- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of an eyelash protection assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a top perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view taken along line 3-3 ofFIG. 1 of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view taken along line 5-5 ofFIG. 4 of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new protection device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , theeyelash protection assembly 10 generally comprises atop sheet 12 is positionable on top of a user'seyelashes 14. Thetop sheet 12 is comprised of a rigid material to inhibit theeyelashes 14 from being deformed when the user is sleeping. Thetop sheet 12 has afirst end 16, asecond end 18, aback edge 20, afront edge 22 and abottom surface 24. Thetop sheet 12 is elongated between thefirst end 16 and thesecond end 18. Theback edge 20 is concavely arcuate between thefirst end 16 and thesecond end 18 for conforming to the curvature of the user'seyelid 26. Additionally, thefront edge 22 is convexly arcuate between thefirst end 16 and thesecond end 18. - A
first mating member 28 is coupled to thetop sheet 12 and thefirst mating member 28 is comprised of a magnetic material. Thefirst mating member 28 is positioned on thebottom surface 24. Thefirst mating member 28 is positioned adjacent to theback edge 20. Additionally, thefirst mating member 28 is co-arcuate with theback edge 20. - A
bottom sheet 30 is positionable beneath the user'seyelashes 14 such that the user'seyelashes 14 are compressed between thetop sheet 12 and thebottom sheet 30. Thebottom sheet 30 is comprised of a rigid material to inhibit theeyelashes 14 from being deformed when the user is sleeping. Thebottom sheet 30 has aprimary end 32, asecondary end 34, arear edge 36, aforward edge 38 and atop surface 40. Thebottom sheet 30 is elongated between theprimary end 32 and thesecondary end 34. Therear edge 36 is concavely arcuate between theprimary end 32 and thesecondary end 34 for conforming to the curvature of the user'seyelid 26. Additionally, theforward edge 38 is convexly arcuate between theprimary end 32 and thesecondary end 34. - A
second mating member 42 is coupled to thebottom sheet 30 and thesecond mating member 42 is comprised of a magnetic material. Thesecond mating member 42 magnetically engages thefirst mating member 28 for retaining thetop sheet 12 and thebottom sheet 30 on the user'seyelashes 14. Thesecond mating member 42 is positioned on thetop surface 40 and thesecond mating member 42 is positioned adjacent to therear edge 36. Additionally, thesecond mating member 42 is co-arcuate with therear edge 36. - In use, the
top sheet 12 is positioned on top of the user'seyelashes 14 and thebottom sheet 30 is positioned beneath the user'seyelashes 14. Thefirst mating member 28 and thesecond mating member 42 magnetically engage each other to retain thetop sheet 12 and thebottom sheet 30 on the user'seyelashes 14. In this way the user'seyelashes 14 are protected from being deformed while the user sleeps, thereby enhancing the appearance of the user'seyelashes 14 when the user wakes. Each of thefirst mating member 28 and thesecond mating member 42 extends along the user'seyelid 26 when thetop sheet 12 and thebottom sheet 30 are worn. Thetop sheet 12 and thebottom sheet 30 are removed from the user'seyelashes 14 when the user wakes. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
