Abstract

A glass bottle water pipe including a glass bottle having an opening at a top side of the bottle and a lower side of the bottle. Each of the openings has a threaded structure about the outside thereof. A lid placed on the top side of the bottle screwed onto the threads. A bottom portion that contains a filter is screwed onto the bottom portion. The filter is removably attached to the bottom portion. An aperture is located in the side of the bottle at a level close to that of the filter. A smoke stem is placed through the aperture into the filter. A carb hole is an aperture in the side of the bottle at a level close to that of the filter, located to the left of the smoke stem and bowl. In this way the glass bottle water pipe can be used in many different ways to smoke.

Description

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application No. 62/797,567 filed on Jan. 28, 2019. The above identified patent application is herein incorporated by reference in its entirety to provide continuity of disclosure.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a glass bottle water pipe. More particularly, the present invention provides a shatter proof glass bottle water pipe with a filter to provide easy smoking.
  • Many people enjoy smoking through various types of apparatuses. People have been smoking though pipes made from various materials for centuries. One of the preferred smoking devices is a glass water pipe. While these pipes have been popular in various areas of the world, they are by no means perfected. There are still major issues with water pipes.
  • Water pipes can be large glass objects this creates several issues the first of which is transport. Glass can be easily broken if not stored correctly. These pipes can be extremely expensive, and a case can be equally expensive. Further, the glass pipes can be slippery and hard to handle. This can lead to dropping the water pipe.
  • Water pipes also traditionally do not have filters attached to them. This means that the smoke coming in through the pipe is not clean and can be filled with debris. This can create an extremely unpleasant smoking experience for the user.
  • Consequently, there is a need in for an improvement in the art of smoking from glass pipes. The present invention substantially diverges in design elements from the known art while at the same time solves a problem many people face when smoking from a water pipe. In this regard, the present invention substantially fulfills these needs.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention provides a glass bottle water pipe wherein the same can be utilized for providing convenience for the user when using a glass bottle water pipe. The glass bottle water pipe includes a bottle, made from glass having an opening at a top end. A lid removably secured to the top end of the bottle. Two apertures are located on two sides of the bottle. A bowl stem placed through one of the apertures. A carb hole is located to the left of the smoke stem/ bowl. A filter attached to a bottom portion of the bottle, wherein the bowl stem is operably coupled to the filter.
  • Another object of the glass bottle water pipe is to have a bottom portion that is removable.
  • Another object of the glass bottle water pipe is to have a bowl attached to an end of the pipe stem.
  • Another object of the glass bottle water pipe is to have glass that is a shatter proof glass.
  • Another object of the glass bottle water pipe is to have a grip disposed around the exterior of the glass bottle.
  • Another object of the glass bottle water pipe is to have a guide tube that is attached to the interior of the glass bottle about the aperture, wherein the guide tube enters the filter.
  • Another object of the glass bottle water pipe is to have top portion has a threaded top allowing the lid to be screwed thereon.
  • Other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Although the characteristic features of this invention will be particularly pointed out in the claims, the invention itself and manner in which it may be made and used may be better understood after a review of the following description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings wherein like numeral annotations are provided throughout.

  • FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of an embodiments of the parts for the glass bottle water pipe.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Reference is made herein to the attached drawings. Like reference numerals are used throughout the drawings to depict like or similar elements of the glass bottle water pipe. For the purposes of presenting a brief and clear description of the present invention, a preferred embodiment will be discussed as used for the glass bottle water pipe. The figures are intended for representative purposes only and should not be considered to be limiting in any respect.
  • Referring now to FIG. 1, there is shown a perspective view of an embodiment of the glass bottle water pipe. The glass bottle waterpipe 100 is created to be an improved way of smoking from a water pipe. The glass of the glass bottle water pipe is a shatter resistant glass. This will allow the glass bottle to be banged or dropped without breaking. While this disclosure discusses the bottle as a glass bottle, other materials are contemplated as part of this disclosure. Some other materials include: metal, wood, fiberglass, plastic, or a mixture of materials.
  • Referring now to FIG. 2 there is shown an exploded view of an embodiments of the parts for the glass bottle water pipe. The glass bottle water pipe includes a glass bottle 200. In one embodiment, the glass bottle 200 is cylindrical with an open top end 204 and an open bottom end 205. The open top end 204 includes a threaded portion 203. The threaded portion 203 will allow for a cap 201 to be placed on the glass bottle 200. The cap 201 has a wrist strap 202 that will allow a user to have an extra attachment to the glass bottle 200 or to keep the cap 201 secured to the user when removed from the glass bottle 200.
  • In an alternative embodiment of the cap 201 a the cap may further function as a bowl 209 a. The alternative cap 201 a has an aperture located through the top section of the alternative cap 201 a. This aperture is configured to accept a gasket 213 a therein. In one embodiment the gasket 213 a may frictionally fit within the aperture of the alternative cap 201 a. In another embodiment the gasket 213 a, is threaded into the alternative cap 201 a. In one embodiment, there is further a pipe stem 210. The pipe stem 210 will enter the gasket 213 a through cap 201 a. There is further a bowl 209 a that is adapted to be placed with in the pipe stem 210. The bowl 209 a is configured to receive the substance to be smoked therein.
  • The glass bottle 200 further has a grip 212 placed around the exterior. The grip 212 is placed around the entire circumference of the glass bottle 200. In one embodiment, the grip 212 is textured. In one embodiment, the grip 212 is made from rubber. In one embodiment, the grip 212 has raised portions. In one embodiment the raised portions are in a grid formation. The grid formation can enhance gripability. Further, in one embodiment, the grip 212 only covers a portion of the glass bottle 200 to allow a user to see within the glass bottle 200
  • The bottom opened end 205 of the glass bottle 200 has a threaded portion 206 there around. The threaded portion 206 is configured to accept an end cap 208. The end cap 208 needs to be installed during use. The end cap 208 is configured to have a filter 207 removably secured thereto. In one embodiment, the filter 207 is a reusable filter. In one embodiment, the filter 207 is comprised of metal. In one embodiment the filter has an aperture located in a sidewall thereof. The aperture will allow for the pipe stem 210 to enter the filter.
  • The glass bottle 200 has an aperture 211 located between the bottom open portion 205 and the grip 212. The aperture 211 is configured to fit a pipe stem 210 therethrough. When the pipe stem 210 is installed it will enter the filter 207 within the glass bottle 200. There is further a bowl 209 b that is adapted to be placed within the pipe stem 210. The bowl 209 b is configured to receive the substance to be smoked therein. There is further a carb hole 215 added to the glass bottle 200. A carb hole 215 is an aperture located through the glass bottle. The carb hole 215 will allow for extra air flow into the bottle. The carb hole 215 is proportioned such that it can be covered with a finger.
  • In use the glass bottle water pipe may be used in 6 different ways. The glass bottle water pipe may be used as a water bong, or regular bong, a gravity bong device, a nater, a waterfall bong, and a steamroller. In other to use the device as a water bong or regular bong water is placed within the bottle 200 and a substance is placed within the bowl 209 b. A user will light the substance and inhale through the top of the glass bottle, this will cause air and smoke to enter through the pipe stem into the filter out of the water and out of the top portion of the glass bottle.
  • To use the glass bottle water pipe as a gravity pipe device the bottom portion will be removed the pipe stem 210 will be placed through the top of the alternative lid 201 a and the bowl will be placed therein. The device will be mostly submerged in water bottom first leaving the top of the bottle exposed. The smoking substance will be lit, and the bottle carefully removed from the water drawing smoke into the bottle. At the desired point a user can remove the pipe stem and inhale the smoke.
  • In a fourth use the glass bottle water pipe may be used as a steamroller. In this use the bottom will be removed. The pipe stem 210 will be inserted into the gasket 213 b located on the side of the bottle. A user will cover the bottom with their hand light the smoking substance and inhale through the mouthpiece. The user can their remove their hand and quickly inhale through the mouthpiece.
  • In a fifth use, the glass bottle water pipe can be used as a nater. A nater is a smoking device to be used after smoking a paper rolled smoking substance. A nater is similar to a regular bong. When using this device as a nater a user can insert the pipe stem 210 into the gasket 213 b located on the side. The user place what's left of the “paper rolled smoking substance” into the pipe stem 210. The user can light the substance while one finger covers the carb hole 215 then inhale filling the bottle with smoke. The user can remove their finger from the carb hole and inhale again This will fill the bottle with clean air allowing the user to inhale the smoke.
  • Lastly, to use the glass water bottle pipe as a waterfall bong. Bowl 209 a and Pipe Stem 210 are removed. The bottle should be filled with water while covering both apertures on the sides of the bottle with your fingers. The pipe stem 210 will be placed through the top of the alternative lid 201 a and the bowl 209 a will be placed therein. The smoking substance will be lit, releasing both fingers covering the apertures located on the side of the bottle. Pouring water out of the bottle and drawing smoke into the bottle. Once all the water is removed from the bottle the user can unscrew the cap 201 a and then inhale the smoke in the bottle.
  • It is therefore submitted that the instant invention has been shown and described in what is considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is recognized, however, that departures may be made within the scope of the invention and that obvious modifications will occur to a person skilled in the art. With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

Claims (15)

I claim:
1) A glass bottle water pipe comprising:
a bottle, made from glass having an opening at a top end;
a lid removably secured to the top end;
an aperture located in a side of the bottle;
a bowl stem removably placed through the aperture;
a filter attached to a bottom portion of the bottle, wherein the bowl stem is operably coupled to the filter.
2) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 1, wherein the bottom portion is removable from bottle.
3) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 1, further comprising a bowl attached to an end of the pipe stem.
4) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 1, wherein the glass is a shatter proof glass.
5) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 1, further comprising, a grip disposed around the exterior of the glass bottle.
6) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 1, wherein the top portion has a threaded top allowing the lid to be screwed thereon.
7) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 1, further comprising a wrist strap attached to a top side of the lid.
8) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 1, further comprising a second aperture located within the side of the glass bottle, wherein the second aperture is a carb hole.
9) A glass bottle water pipe comprising:
a bottle, made from glass having an opening at a top end;
a lid removably secured to the top end;
the lid has an aperture located in the top side thereof, wherein a mouthpiece is fitted within the aperture;
an aperture located in a side of the bottle;
a bowl stem removably placed through the aperture;
a filter attached to a bottom portion of the bottle, wherein the bowl stem is operably coupled to the filter.
10) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 9, wherein the bottom portion is removable from bottle.
11) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 9, further comprising a bowl attached to an end of the pipe stem.
12) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 9, wherein the glass is a shatter proof glass.
13) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 9, further comprising, a grip disposed around the exterior of the glass bottle.
14) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 9, wherein the top portion has a threaded top allowing the lid to be screwed thereon.
15) The glass bottle water pipe of claim 9, further comprising a second aperture located within the side of the glass bottle, wherein the second aperture is a carb hole.
