Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Gloves have been used in society for a very long time. Used to protect the hands, and to improve one's grip. Traditional gloves have fingers and fingerless gloves have been around for quite some time as have wallets. Generally, there are two types of gloves. One type envelops all portions of the hand including the fingers and the palm, and the other is the fingerless glove adapted to envelop the palm portion of the hand and the lower parts of the fingers while allowing the tips of the fingers to be exposed. Wallets also, are generally designed to carry Identification cards, credit cards and money. Wallets are designed in various sizes, giving them a capacity to carry less or more items; (credit cards, money, pictures, and sometimes a key). Cell phone cases consist of two basic types; one that is clipped to you and the other that must be carried; carried in your hand, or other carrying device; pocket, purse, backpack, etc. Cases/covers also serve to protect your cell phone from scratches and dents and greatly vary as to how you phone will hold up if dropped.
  • The present invention relates to an improvement in all mentioned above; the glove, the wallet and the cell phone case/cover. Merging these three items into one unit, that protects your phone, keeps your Identification, credit cards and money together, frees up your hand to do what you want and alleviates the need for cell phone belt clips cases and covers, wallets, pockets, purses, and backpack or other devices to carry your cell phone, Identification, credit cards and money.
  • The Pocket Glove expands itself into the cell phone case/cover industry, the accessory wallet/purse industry and the glove industry.
  • Conventional cell phone cases/covers are used with a clip-on mechanism to attach the case on one's waist the alternative to this, is to carry the cell phone in the palm of one's hand, in a front or back pocket or in objects such as backpack, purse, briefcase, etc. This is problematic as the clip-on mechanism requires wearing a belt or somehow clipping it to clothing and risk tearing them. Additionally, all cell phone cases/covers are not equal in their ability to protect your phone if dropped while carrying it in your hand.
  • Carrying your phone in your hand, pockets, or other carrying objects (purse, backpack, etc.) are all associated with high statistics in phone losses, phone thefts and phone damages due to being dropped. People habitually lay their phone down in public places, subsequently they are lost or stolen. Phones are lost or damaged when they fall out of back pockets and when placed in carrying devices (purse, backpack, etc.,) there is a greater risk of lost due to theft including pockets being picked.
  • Traditionally wallets have been associated with men who carry them in their pocket, women who carry them in a purse; and then those persons who carry wallets in backpacks, briefcases, etc. wallets are used to carry mainly Identification, credit cards and money. The contents of the wallet and how it is used/carried result in losses due to (pockets picked, purses/backpack stolen and or lost).
  • Another common problem with phones and wallets is accessibility. Quick access is limited to the body position (standing or sitting) when phones and wallets are placed in pockets. Quick access is dependent on the size of the object (purse, backpack, etc.) used to carry the cell phone or wallet as well as the number of other items being carried.
  • The pocket glove provides a solution to the problems mentioned above. It is a gender-neutral device for carrying wallet items (identification, credit cards and money) and cell phone. It alleviates losing phone or wallet due to theft (pockets picked, purse backpack, other carrying device stolen). It does not require a phone case/cover, no belt, and no clothing to clip to and risk tearing. It does not require pockets and thus there is no fear of phone or wallet falling out of pockets or being stolen from pockets. No losses due to habitually laying phone down in public places and forgetting it/leaving it behind or it being stolen. No damages due to dropping phone while carrying it around in your hand and especially when trying to do other things with your hand. Easy access no searching in a backpack, purse, or trying to get it out of pocket.
  • The pocket is attached on the dorsal side of the hand and is suitable for securing items in the pocket. The pocket when used to carry android or iPhone provides a secure carrying device with accessibility for phone usage while contained in the pocket. Used as a hand wallet it provides a gender-neutral device for carrying wallet items (identification, credit cards and money). Breathable material, light weight. Material is such that there is phone visibility, can see phone Apps.
  • The glove can be with or without fingers and with a full palm coverage or partial palm coverage. The glove's pocket can be made with fabric or vinyl to partially expose the contents in the pocket or to fully expose the contents in the pocket. The pocket allows the user to carry things without limiting the use of their hand. The items in the pocket can be secured with a closure device such as a zipper, snaps, Velcro or other closing mechanisms.
  • Pocket glove allows users to perform various daily activities and sports and entertainment type activities; hike, ride bicycle, exercise, dance, grip, carry things, use crutches, walker, perform many work-related tasks all while the phone and wallet items are in the pocket glove. The glove has options which are for aesthetic purposes, it can be produced as fingerless or with fingers, with palm partially exposed or palm enclosed. Pocket is used to carry wallet items; identification, credit cards, money and android or iPhone with quick access. The Mobile Pocket Glove is a Non-gender Hand Wallet.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a pocket glove/hand wallet which is depicted in this invention as fingerless and palm less.
  • It is another object of the invention to provide a pocket glove/hand wallet that can hold a cell phone and wallet items such as; identification, credit cards and money.
  • In accordance with the invention, an object of the invention is to provide an on-hand secure carrying device for mobile phones and wallet items that can fit inside the pocket glove.
  • An object of the invention is to provide quick access; with security from theft and lost; such as pockets picked, items lost due to being left behind or falling out of pockets unknowingly.
  • An object of the invention is to provide functionality, when a mobile device is in the pocket glove the phone can be used.
  • An object of the invention is for proximity, having the mobile device within hands reach.
  • An objective is to provide a hands-free opportunity, while phone is in the pocket fingers and hand is free to perform another task.
  • The pocket design constructed of a mesh fabric with a mechanism for opening and closing the pocket. The fabric type is important for functionality when the intended use is for carrying a mobile device; fabrics that are lightweight and provide some transparency are the objective. However, the fabric type is not critical and other materials may be used when the glove purpose is intended to be a discreet carrying hand wallet; intended to carry personal items such as Identification, credit cards, and mobile phone with no intended functionality to maintain discreetness. The mechanism for closing the pocket is shown as a zipper, however, this too can be substituted with other devices to achieve closure; such as snaps, Velcro, etc. The glove design is made of fabric with stretch ability properties, intended for comfort, and ability to maintain its shape. The glove construction is modified from a traditional glove liner, with a carrying pocket, it is fingerless, and the palm is cut out. Glove is washable and durable.
