Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION A. Technical Field
  • The present invention is generally related to a vaporizer assembly. More particularly, the invention disclosed herein is further related to a hand-held universal vaporizer assembly, which could be utilized by a user in multiple end-use, such as a medication delivery system, or multi-flavored electronic cigarette, etc.
  • B. Description of Related Art
  • Electronic cigarette came into existence as an aid to provide nicotine through a smokeless inhalation process. Instead of smoking cigarette, the user inhales an aerosol, commonly called vapor, typically released by a heating element that atomizes a liquid solution. In the recent years, the market segment of these electronic cigarettes is gaining steadily. Currently, the electronic cigarettes are used as vaporizers which comprises liquid storage components for storing liquid smoke, heaters and atomizing chambers to dispense medications or recreational substances such as tobacco derivatives, etc. to individual users.
  • Most of the existing vaporizers are hand-held battery-operated devices for atomizing the liquid smoke into vapor. However, each of these vaporizers is designed to accommodate a flavor of liquid smoke at a time, and therefore it is a limitation for a user in the smokeless inhalation process. Some of the vaporizers are configured to store the mix up of the different flavors of the liquid smoke. However, this does not help in satisfying the user in choosing their desired flavor, and lacks an option for switching flavors in the vaporizers.
  • There have been many attempts to provide vaporizing devices to provide multi-flavored electronic cigarette for the user. For instance, a prior art reference U.S. Pat. No. 9,271,528 B2 discloses a multi-flavored electronic cigarette with a liquid storage components adapted to reserve liquid and heaters adapted for atomizing liquid to smoke with two atomizing chambers and heaters therein adapted for allowing a kind of liquid to be atomized. The heaters are powered by the batteries incorporated in the electronic cigarette. However, this device is a unitary structure encompassing all the components which is a limitation by itself. If any components of the device are repaired, or needs replacement, the users have to buy, or requires another electronic cigarette.
  • In certain cases, the components of the vaporizing devices are fastened together using bolts or screws, which requires a skilled technician to fix the device in case of repair or maintenance. Users either must replace the entire device, or they need to face lot of inconvenience on servicing the whole vaporizing device. Recently, many electronic modules such as sensors and other digital measuring units are included in the design of the vaporizing devices. However, the existing complicated designs in the vaporizing device still made more cumbersome to service, and expensive. In case of any malfunction of the device, the user could not simply reuse it.
  • Hence, there is a long felt but unresolved need for an apparatus, which provides a retro-fit option for multi-flavored electronic cigarette. Furthermore, there is a need for a universal vaporizer assembly, which provides the user to choose their desired flavor, multi-flavors or a combination of optional flavors in the electronic cigarette.

The assembly 100 is portable and lightweight, and therefore user could carry without any inconvenience. The universal vaporizer assembly 100 defines the modular configuration of the casing chambers, which allows the user to utilize either of the casing chambers for longer period. This eliminates the need for replacement of the entire vaporizer assembly 100. The locking mechanism 118 allows for easier and quicker assembly and disassembly of the vaporizer assembly 100 and eliminates the need for specialized fasteners to secure the casing chambers.
