- The disclosure and prior art relates to glove devices and more particularly pertains to a new glove device for lifting a heavy object.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a plurality of blocks. Each of the blocks has a plurality of channels extending therethrough. Each of the channels corresponding to each of the blocks has fingers extended therethrough. Thus, each of the blocks is worn on a hand. Each of the blocks is comprised of a resiliently compressible material. Thus, each of the blocks inhibits the hand from being injured when a heavy object is carried.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a protective glove assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view taken along line 3-3 ofFIG. 2 of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a perspective kit view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new glove device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , theprotective glove assembly 10 generally comprises a plurality ofblocks 12. Each of theblocks 12 has a plurality ofchannels 14 extending therethrough. Each of thechannels 14 corresponding to each of theblocks 12 may havefingers 16 extended therethrough. Thus, each of theblocks 12 may be worn on ahand 18. - Each of the
blocks 12 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material such as foam rubber or the like. Additionally, each of theblocks 12 may have a compressive strength ranging between forty kg and ninety kg. Thus, each of theblocks 12 may inhibit thehand 18 from being injured when aheavy object 20 is carried. Theheavy object 20 may be an object that has a weight of at least forty kg. - Each of the
blocks 12 has afirst end 22, asecond end 24 and anouter surface 26 extending therebetween. Thechannels 14 corresponding to each of theblocks 12 extend through thefirst end 22 and thesecond end 24 of the corresponding block. Each of thechannels 14 in the corresponding block intersects one another. Moreover, thechannels 14 in the corresponding block are distributed laterally along the corresponding block. Each of thechannels 14 has a boundingsurface 28 and the boundingsurface 28 is substantially continuous. Thus, each of thechannels 14 in the corresponding block has a cylindrical shape. - Each of the
blocks 12 includes aprotective layer 30 that is coupled to the boundingsurface 28 of each of thechannels 14. Theprotective layer 30 extends between thefirst end 22 and thesecond end 24 of the corresponding block. Theprotective layer 30 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material such as silicon or the like. Thus, theprotective layer 30 enhances gripping the corresponding block. - A
sleeve 32 is provided. Thesleeve 32 is positioned around theouter surface 26 of the corresponding block. Thesleeve 32 extends between thefirst end 22 and thesecond end 24 of the corresponding block. Thesleeve 32 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material such as rubber or the like. Thus, thesleeve 32 frictionally engages theheavy object 20 thereby enhancing gripping theheavy object 20. - In use, a selected pair of the
blocks 12 is worn by a first user and a selected pair of the block is worn by a second user. Each of the first user and the second user grips theheavy object 20 to lift theheavy object 20. Theheavy object 20 is gripped on a bottom side of theheavy object 20. Thus, theheavy object 20 may be lowered onto a floor when theheavy object 20 is carried. Each of theblocks 12 is positioned between theheavy object 20 and the floor when theheavy object 20 is lowered. Thus, each of theblocks 12 inhibits theheavy object 20 from scratching the floor. Moreover, the first user and the second user may remove theirrespective fingers 16 from theblocks 12 to rest. Each of the first user and the second user re-inserts theirrespective fingers 16 through theblocks 12 to resume carrying theheavy object 20. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
