Abstract

A protective glove assembly for carrying a heavy object includes a plurality of blocks. Each of the blocks has a plurality of channels extending therethrough. Each of the channels corresponding to each of the blocks has fingers extended therethrough. Thus, each of the blocks is worn on a hand. Each of the blocks is comprised of a resiliently compressible material. Thus, each of the blocks inhibits the hand from being injured when a heavy object is carried.

  • The disclosure and prior art relates to glove devices and more particularly pertains to a new glove device for lifting a heavy object.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a plurality of blocks. Each of the blocks has a plurality of channels extending therethrough. Each of the channels corresponding to each of the blocks has fingers extended therethrough. Thus, each of the blocks is worn on a hand. Each of the blocks is comprised of a resiliently compressible material. Thus, each of the blocks inhibits the hand from being injured when a heavy object is carried.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a protective glove assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view taken along line 3-3 of FIG. 2 of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a perspective kit view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new glove device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the protective glove assembly 10 generally comprises a plurality of blocks 12. Each of the blocks 12 has a plurality of channels 14 extending therethrough. Each of the channels 14 corresponding to each of the blocks 12 may have fingers 16 extended therethrough. Thus, each of the blocks 12 may be worn on a hand 18.
  • Each of the blocks 12 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material such as foam rubber or the like. Additionally, each of the blocks 12 may have a compressive strength ranging between forty kg and ninety kg. Thus, each of the blocks 12 may inhibit the hand 18 from being injured when a heavy object 20 is carried. The heavy object 20 may be an object that has a weight of at least forty kg.
  • Each of the blocks 12 has a first end 22, a second end 24 and an outer surface 26 extending therebetween. The channels 14 corresponding to each of the blocks 12 extend through the first end 22 and the second end 24 of the corresponding block. Each of the channels 14 in the corresponding block intersects one another. Moreover, the channels 14 in the corresponding block are distributed laterally along the corresponding block. Each of the channels 14 has a bounding surface 28 and the bounding surface 28 is substantially continuous. Thus, each of the channels 14 in the corresponding block has a cylindrical shape.
  • Each of the blocks 12 includes a protective layer 30 that is coupled to the bounding surface 28 of each of the channels 14. The protective layer 30 extends between the first end 22 and the second end 24 of the corresponding block. The protective layer 30 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material such as silicon or the like. Thus, the protective layer 30 enhances gripping the corresponding block.
  • A sleeve 32 is provided. The sleeve 32 is positioned around the outer surface 26 of the corresponding block. The sleeve 32 extends between the first end 22 and the second end 24 of the corresponding block. The sleeve 32 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material such as rubber or the like. Thus, the sleeve 32 frictionally engages the heavy object 20 thereby enhancing gripping the heavy object 20.
  • In use, a selected pair of the blocks 12 is worn by a first user and a selected pair of the block is worn by a second user. Each of the first user and the second user grips the heavy object 20 to lift the heavy object 20. The heavy object 20 is gripped on a bottom side of the heavy object 20. Thus, the heavy object 20 may be lowered onto a floor when the heavy object 20 is carried. Each of the blocks 12 is positioned between the heavy object 20 and the floor when the heavy object 20 is lowered. Thus, each of the blocks 12 inhibits the heavy object 20 from scratching the floor. Moreover, the first user and the second user may remove their respective fingers 16 from the blocks 12 to rest. Each of the first user and the second user re-inserts their respective fingers 16 through the blocks 12 to resume carrying the heavy object 20.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims (6)

I claim:
1. A protective glove assembly being configured to be worn while lifting a heavy object thereby inhibiting the heavy object from injuring fingers when the heavy object is lifted, said assembly comprising:
a plurality of blocks, each of said blocks having a plurality of channels extending therethrough wherein each of said channels corresponding to each of said blocks is configured to have fingers extended therethrough thereby facilitating each of said blocks to be worn on a hand, each of said blocks being comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein each of said blocks is configured to inhibit the hand from being injured when a heavy object is carried.
2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein each of said blocks has a first end, a second end and an outer surface extending therebetween, said channels corresponding to each of said blocks extending through said first end and said second of said corresponding block, each of said channels in said corresponding block intersecting one another having said channels in said corresponding block being distributed laterally along said corresponding block.
3. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein each of said channels has a bounding surface, said bounding surface being substantially continuous such that each of said channels in said corresponding block has a cylindrical shape.
4. The assembly according to claim 3, wherein each of said blocks includes a protective layer being coupled to said bounding surface of each of said channels, said protective layer being comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein said protective layer is configured to enhance gripping said corresponding block.
5. The assembly according to claim 2, further comprising a sleeve being positioned around said outer surface of said corresponding block, said sleeve extending between said first end and said second end of said corresponding block, said sleeve being comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein said sleeve is configured to frictionally engage the heavy object thereby enhancing gripping the heavy object.
6. A protective glove assembly being configured to be worn while lifting a heavy object thereby inhibiting the heavy object from injuring fingers when the heavy object is lifted, said assembly comprising:
a plurality of blocks, each of said blocks having a plurality of channels extending therethrough wherein each of said channels corresponding to each of said blocks is configured to have fingers extended therethrough thereby facilitating each of said blocks to be worn on a hand, each of said blocks being comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein each of said blocks is configured to inhibit the hand from being injured when a heavy object is carried, each of said blocks having a first end, a second end and an outer surface extending therebetween, said channels corresponding to each of said blocks extending through said first end and said second of said corresponding block, each of said channels in said corresponding block intersecting one another having said channels in said corresponding block being distributed laterally along said corresponding block, each of said channels having a bounding surface, said bounding surface being substantially continuous such that each of said channels in said corresponding block has a cylindrical shape, each of said blocks including:
a protective layer being coupled to said bounding surface of each of said channels, said protective layer being comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein said protective layer is configured to enhance gripping said corresponding block, and
a sleeve being positioned around said outer surface of said corresponding block, said sleeve extending between said first end and said second end of said corresponding block, said sleeve being comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein said sleeve is configured to frictionally engage the heavy object thereby enhancing gripping the heavy object.
