Abstract

A cushioned sock assembly for reducing discomfort of an article of footwear includes a sock that may be worn. A pair of cushions is provided and each of the cushions is coupled to the sock. Thus, each of the cushions enhances a comfort of the sock.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE Field of the Disclosure
  • The disclosure relates to sock devices and more particularly pertains to a new sock device for reducing discomfort of an article of footwear.
  • SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a sock that may be worn. A pair of cushions is provided and each of the cushions is coupled to the sock. Thus, each of the cushions enhances a comfort of the sock.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of a cushioned sock assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a back perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a left side view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view taken along line 4-4 of FIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a right side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new sock device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the cushioned sock assembly 10 generally comprises a sock 12 that may be worn in conjunction with an article of footwear. The sock 12 has an inner surface 14, a leg portion 16 and a foot portion 18. The foot portion 18 has a top side 20, a first lateral side 22 and a second lateral side 24. The foot portion 18 includes a heel section 26 and a toe section 28. The leg portion 16 has a distal end 30 with respect to the leg portion 16. The distal end 30 is open such that the leg portion 16 may receive a leg having a foot being positioned within the foot portion 18. The toe section 28 surrounds toes and the heel section 26 surround a heel when the sock 12 is worn.
  • A pair of cushions 32 is provided and each of the cushions 32 is coupled to the sock 12 such that each of the cushions 32 enhances a comfort of the sock 12. Each of the cushions 32 is positioned on the inner surface 14 of the sock 12. Each of the cushions 32 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material such as Memory Foam or the like. The pair of cushions 32 includes a toe cushion 34 and a heel cushion 36.
  • The toe cushion 34 is positioned on the toe section 28. The toe cushion 34 extends over the top side 20 and downwardly along each of the first lateral side 22 and the second lateral side 24 corresponding to the toe section 28. Thus, the toe cushion 34 inhibits the toes from frictionally engaging the article of footwear when the article of footwear is worn in conjunction with the sock 12. The heel cushion 36 is positioned on the heel section 26 and the heel cushion 36 extends between the first lateral side 22 and the second lateral side 24 corresponding to the heel section 26. Thus, the heel cushion 36 inhibits the heel from frictionally engaging the article of footwear when the article of footwear is worn in conjunction with the sock 12. The article of footwear may comprise a steel toed boot or the like and the article of footwear may be utilized in an industrial setting or the like.
  • In use, the sock 12 is worn when the article of footwear is to be worn. The sock 12 is worn such that the toe cushion 34 is aligned with the toes and the heel cushion 36 is aligned with the heel. Thus, each of the toe cushion 34 and the heel cushion 36 inhibit the toes and the heel from frictionally engaging the article of footwear. The sock 12 reduces discomfort associated with wearing the article of footwear.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims (7)

I claim:
1. A cushioned sock assembly comprising:
a sock being configured to be worn in conjunction with an article of footwear; and
a pair of cushions, each of said cushions being coupled to said sock such that each of said cushions enhances a comfort of said sock.
2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said sock has an inner surface, said sock having a leg portion and a foot portion, said foot portion having a top side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side, said foot portion including a heel section and a toe section.
3. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein said leg portion has a distal end with respect to said leg portion, said distal end being open wherein said leg portion is configured to receive a leg having a foot being positioned within said foot portion, said toe section being configured to surround toes, said heel section being configured to surround a heel.
4. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein:
said sock has an inner surface; and
each of said cushions is positioned on said inner surface of said sock, each of said cushions being comprised of a resiliently compressible material, said pair of cushions including a toe cushion and a heel cushion.
5. The assembly according to claim 4, wherein:
said sock has a toe section, a top side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side; and
said toe cushion is positioned on said toe section, said toe cushion extending over said top side and downwardly along each of said first lateral side and said second lateral side wherein said toe cushion is configured to inhibit toes from frictionally engaging an article of footwear when the article of footwear is worn.
6. The assembly according to claim 4, wherein:
said sock has a heel section, a first lateral side and a second lateral side; and
said heel cushion is positioned on said heel section, said heel cushion extending between said first lateral side and said second lateral side wherein said heel cushion is configured to inhibit the heel from frictionally engaging the article of footwear when the article of footwear is worn.
7. A cushioned sock assembly comprising:
a sock being configured to be worn in conjunction with an article of footwear, said sock having an inner surface, said sock having a leg portion and a foot portion, said foot portion having a top side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side, said foot portion including a heel section and a toe section, said leg portion having a distal end with respect to said leg portion, said distal end being open wherein said leg portion is configured to receive a leg having a foot being positioned within said foot portion, said toe section being configured to surround toes, said heel section being configured to surround a heel; and
a pair of cushions, each of said cushions being coupled to said sock such that each of said cushions enhances a comfort of said sock, each of said cushions being positioned on said inner surface of said sock, each of said cushions being comprised of a resiliently compressible material, said pair of cushions including a toe cushion and a heel cushion, said toe cushion being positioned on said toe section, said toe cushion extending over said top side and downwardly along each of said first lateral side and said second lateral side wherein said toe cushion is configured to inhibit the toes from frictionally engaging an article of footwear when the article of footwear is worn, said heel cushion being positioned on said heel section, said heel cushion extending between said first lateral side and said second lateral side wherein said heel cushion is configured to inhibit the heel from frictionally engaging the article of footwear when the article of footwear is worn.
