Abstract
Description
- This application claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 201510793166.8 filed on Nov. 18, 2015, the contents of which are incorporated by reference herein.
- The subject matter herein generally relates to an mounting apparatus for electronic device, and in particular to an mounting apparatus for mounting a power supply unit.
- In servers, power supply units are mounted in a case by a plurality of screws. However, it is time-consuming to mount the plurality of screws on the case or detach the plurality of screws from the case with a screwdriver.
- Implementations of the present technology will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the attached figures.
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded, isometric view of one embodiment of a mounting apparatus and a power supply unit. -
FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the portion II ofFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is an isometric view of a locking member ofFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 4 is an assembled, isometric view of the mounting apparatus and the power supply unit ofFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 5 is another assembled, isometric view of the mounting apparatus and the power supply unit ofFIG. 1 . - It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous elements. In addition, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures, and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. Also, the description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features of the present disclosure.
-
FIG. 1 illustrates a mountingapparatus 100 for mounting apower supply unit 80. The mountingapparatus 100 comprises acase 10 and a lockingmember 30. Apower plug 90 can be inserted in aport 81 of thepower supply unit 80 to provide power to thepower supply unit 80. Thepower plug 90 comprises aplug 91 and acord 92 connected to theplug 91. - The
case 10 includes atop wall 11, abottom wall 12, afirst side wall 13, and asecond side wall 14. Thetop wall 11 is parallel to thebottom wall 12. Thefirst side wall 13 is parallel to thesecond side wall 14. Thefirst side wall 13 and thesecond side wall 14 are perpendicularly connected between thetop wall 11 and thebottom wall 12. Adivision plate 15 is also connected between thetop wall 11 and thebottom wall 12. Thedivision plate 15 is located between thefirst side wall 13 and thesecond side wall 14. A receivingspace 16 is defined among thedivision plate 15, thefirst side wall 13, thetop wall 11, and thebottom wall 12. -
FIG. 2 illustrates that a pair of restrictingpieces 131 are formed on thefirst side wall 13 and located in thereceiving space 16. The restrictingpiece 131 is vaulted to define apivoting hole 132 between the restrictingpiece 131 and thefirst side wall 13. An edge portion of thedivision plate 15 is recessed towards to thefirst side wall 13 to form alocking portion 151. Arecess room 152 is defined on thelocking portion 151. Thelocking portion 151 defines twolocking holes 153. -
FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate that thelocking member 30 is a bent rod which can be elastically deformed. Thelocking member 30 comprises twopivoting ends 31. Each pivotingend 31 is perpendicularly connected to apressing pole 32. Eachpressing pole 32 is perpendicularly connected to alocking pole 33. Alocking tab 331 is protruded from a center portion of thelocking pole 33. Acord securing portion 34 is connected between twolocking poles 33. Thecord securing portion 34 comprises twoclamping portions 35. Eachclamping portion 35 is formed in an arc. The two clampingportions 35 can be elastically deformed. Ahandle 36 is connected between the twoclamping portions 35. -
FIGS. 4 and 5 illustrate when in assembly, the two pivoting ends 31 of thelocking member 30 are pivotally mounted in thepivoting holes 132 of thefirst side wall 13. Thepower supply unit 80 is placed in thereceiving space 16 of thecase 10. Theplug 91 of thepower plug 90 is inserted in theport 81 of the power supply unit. Then, thelocking member 30 is rotated until the two pressingpoles 32 press thepower supply unit 80. Thecord 92 of thepower plug 90 is slid between the two clampingportions 35 of thelocking member 30. The two clampingportions 35 are elastically deformed to sandwich thecord 92. Simultaneously, the two clampingportions 35 resist against theplug 91. Thelocking tabs 331 of thelocking member 30 resist against thelocking portion 151 of thedivision plate 15 to elastically deform thelocking poles 33. Thelocking member 30 continues to rotate until thelocking tabs 331 are aligned with thelocking holes 153. Thelocking poles 33 recover to position thelocking tabs 331 in thelocking holes 153. Thereby, thelocking member 30 is mounted on thecase 10 pressing thepower supply unit 80 and clamping thecord 92. The two clampingportions 35 resist against theplug 91 to prevent theplug 91 from being pulled out from theport 81. Because thelocking portion 151 has arecess room 152 to receive thelocking tabs 331, thelocking tabs 331 do not disturb other components. - When needing to detach the
power supply unit 80 or to pull out theplug 91 from theport 81 of thepower supply unit 80, thehandle 36 is pulled to elastically deform thelocking poles 33 to have thelocking tabs 331 escape from thelocking holes 153. Thelocking member 30 rotates backwards to release thepower supply unit 80 and thepower plug 90. Therefore, thepower supply unit 80 can be detached from thecase 10 and theplug 91 can be pulled out form theport 81 of thepower supply unit 80. - The embodiments shown and described above are only examples. Therefore, many such details are neither shown nor described. Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present technology have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the present disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in the detail, including in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of the parts within the principles of the present disclosure, up to, and including, the full extent established by the broad general meaning of the terms used in the claims. It will therefore be appreciated that the embodiments described above may be modified within the scope of the claims.
