-
FIG. 1 is an exploded, isometric view of one embodiment of a button. -
FIG. 2 is similar toFIG. 1 , but viewed from another angle. -
FIG. 3 is an assembled, isometric view of the button ofFIG. 2 . -
FIG. 4 is similar toFIG. 3 , but viewed from another angle. -
FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the button ofFIG. 4 , taken along line V-V. - It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous components. In addition, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures, and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. Also, the description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features of the present disclosure.
- Several definitions that apply throughout this disclosure will now be presented.
- The term “substantially” is defined to be essentially conforming to the particular dimension, shape, or other feature that the term modifies, such that the component need not be exact. For example, “substantially cylindrical” means that the object resembles a cylinder, but can have one or more deviations from a true cylinder. The term “comprising” when utilized, means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in the so-described combination, group, series and the like. The present disclosure is described in relation to a button. The button includes a body and a button cap. The button cap includes a plate and a clamping portion extending from the plate. The plate and the clamping portion cooperatively define a receiving space. The body includes a mounting panel. The mounting panel adheres to the plate and is received in the receiving space. The mounting panel is clamped by the clamping portion to fix to the button cap.
-
FIGS. 1-2 illustrate one embodiment of abutton 100. Thebutton 100 includes abody 10 and abutton cap 20. - The
body 10 includes amounting panel 12 and an extendingportion 14 extending from themounting panel 12. Themounting panel 12 defines a plurality of throughholes 120 to decrease a weight of thebody 10. In at least one embodiment, themounting panel 12 can be substantially circular. A diameter of themounting panel 12 can be less than 25 mm. A thickness of themounting panel 12 can be greater than 1 mm. Thebody 10 can be made of plastic. The extendingportion 14 can be located on a center of themounting panel 12. - The
button cap 20 includes aplate 22 and aclamping portion 24 extending from an edge of theplate 22. Theplate 22 and theclamping portion 24 cooperatively define areceiving space 26. A height H (as shown inFIG. 5 ) of theclamping portion 24 can be less than 3 mm. In at least one embodiment, the height H of theclamping portion 24 can be 1.87 mm. An acute angle A (as shown inFIG. 5 ) can be defined by theplate 22 and theclamping portion 24. A range of the acute angle A can be from 60 degrees to 85 degrees. In at least one embodiment, the acute angle A can be 76 degrees. Thebutton cap 20 can be made of anti-abrasive material. In at least one embodiment, thebutton cap 20 can be made of metal. A thickness of theplate 22 can be greater than 0.5 mm. -
FIGS. 3-5 illustrate thebutton 100 being assembled. Theplate 22 of thebutton cap 20 is smeared with glue and is received in thereceiving space 26. Themounting panel 12 is fixed to theplate 22 via the glue. An edge of themounting panel 12 is clamped by theclamping portion 24 to prevent thebutton cap 20 from dislodging from thebody 10. - The embodiments shown and described above are only examples.
