  • FIELD
  • The subject matter herein generally relates to a button including a body and a button cap.
  • BACKGROUND
  • A button includes a body and a button cap. The button cap can be made of metallic material to prevent abrasion. The button cap is adhered to the body via glue.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Implementations of the present technology will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the attached figures.
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded, isometric view of one embodiment of a button.
  • FIG. 2 is similar to FIG. 1, but viewed from another angle.
  • FIG. 3 is an assembled, isometric view of the button of FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 4 is similar to FIG. 3, but viewed from another angle.
  • FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the button of FIG. 4, taken along line V-V.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous components. In addition, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures, and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. Also, the description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features of the present disclosure.
  • Several definitions that apply throughout this disclosure will now be presented.
  • The term “substantially” is defined to be essentially conforming to the particular dimension, shape, or other feature that the term modifies, such that the component need not be exact. For example, “substantially cylindrical” means that the object resembles a cylinder, but can have one or more deviations from a true cylinder. The term “comprising” when utilized, means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in the so-described combination, group, series and the like. The present disclosure is described in relation to a button. The button includes a body and a button cap. The button cap includes a plate and a clamping portion extending from the plate. The plate and the clamping portion cooperatively define a receiving space. The body includes a mounting panel. The mounting panel adheres to the plate and is received in the receiving space. The mounting panel is clamped by the clamping portion to fix to the button cap.
  • FIGS. 1-2 illustrate one embodiment of a button 100. The button 100 includes a body 10 and a button cap 20.
  • The body 10 includes a mounting panel 12 and an extending portion 14 extending from the mounting panel 12. The mounting panel 12 defines a plurality of through holes 120 to decrease a weight of the body 10. In at least one embodiment, the mounting panel 12 can be substantially circular. A diameter of the mounting panel 12 can be less than 25 mm. A thickness of the mounting panel 12 can be greater than 1 mm. The body 10 can be made of plastic. The extending portion 14 can be located on a center of the mounting panel 12.
  • The button cap 20 includes a plate 22 and a clamping portion 24 extending from an edge of the plate 22. The plate 22 and the clamping portion 24 cooperatively define a receiving space 26. A height H (as shown in FIG. 5) of the clamping portion 24 can be less than 3 mm. In at least one embodiment, the height H of the clamping portion 24 can be 1.87 mm. An acute angle A (as shown in FIG. 5) can be defined by the plate 22 and the clamping portion 24. A range of the acute angle A can be from 60 degrees to 85 degrees. In at least one embodiment, the acute angle A can be 76 degrees. The button cap 20 can be made of anti-abrasive material. In at least one embodiment, the button cap 20 can be made of metal. A thickness of the plate 22 can be greater than 0.5 mm.
  • FIGS. 3-5 illustrate the button 100 being assembled. The plate 22 of the button cap 20 is smeared with glue and is received in the receiving space 26. The mounting panel 12 is fixed to the plate 22 via the glue. An edge of the mounting panel 12 is clamped by the clamping portion 24 to prevent the button cap 20 from dislodging from the body 10.
  • The embodiments shown and described above are only examples. Many details are often found in the art such as the other features of the button. Therefore, many such details are neither shown nor described. Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present technology have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the present disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of the parts within the principles of the present disclosure, up to and including the full extent established by the broad general meaning of the terms used in the claims. It will therefore be appreciated that the embodiments described above may be modified within the scope of the claims.
