Abstract
A micro compressor includes a motor with a driving gear and a fan respectively connected to the first and second ends thereof. A plastic-made frame is connected to the first end of the motor. A transmission device is connected to the frame and connected to the driving gear. A Nylon link is located in the frame and connected to the transmission device. A mount is connected to the frame and a cylinder cap is connected to the top of the mount. The mount is snapped to the frame. The compressor is light in weight and has lower manufacturing cost. The cylinder has a short travel with less noise.
Description
- 1. Fields of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a micro compressor, and more particularly, to a micro compressor which is made by plastic.
- 2. Descriptions of Related Art
- The conventional compressor as disclosed in
FIG. 1 generally comprises amotor 1, adriving gear 2 connected to the first end of themotor 1, and afan 3 connected to the second end of themotor 1. Aframe 6 is fixed to the first end of themotor 1 and has atransmission device 15 as shown inFIG. 2 . Thetransmission device 15 comprises a drivengear 4, adriving shaft 17, acam 5 and aneccentric shaft 8. The drivengear 4 is engaged with thedriving gear 2, and theframe 6 is connected with acylinder 16 which has a Nylonlink 18 received therein. Acylinder cap 13 is connected to the top of thecylinder 16. - The
transmission device 15 is located on one side of theframe 6 so that when the compressor is in operation, the compressor tends to shake because the position that thetransmission device 15 is located. Even worse, the Nylonlink 18 may be disengaged from theeccentric shaft 8, so that the conventional compressor cannot be satisfied. Besides, because thetransmission device 15 is located on one side of theframe 6, theframe 6 usually is made by metal, and thecylinder 16 is connected to theframe 6 by bolts. This makes the conventional compressor be heavy and has high manufacturing cost. - The present invention intends to provide a micro compressor to eliminate the shortcomings mentioned above.
- The present invention relates to a micro compressor and comprises a motor. A driving gear is connected to the first end of the motor, and a fan is connected to the second end of the motor. A frame is connected to the first end of the motor, and the frame is made by plastic. A transmission device is connected to the frame and connected to the driving gear. A Nylon link is located in the frame and connected to the transmission device. A mount is connected to the frame, and a cylinder cap is connected to the top of the mount.
- Preferably, the transmission device comprises a driven gear which is engaged with the driving gear. A cam is connected to the driven gear and has an eccentric shaft which is connected with an eccentric wheel. The eccentric wheel is connected to the Nylon link by a plane bearing.
- Preferably, the eccentric shaft is connected to the frame by a needle bearing.
- Preferably, the frame comprises a left part and a right part, the left and right parts are respectively located on two sides of the Nylon link.
- Preferably, the cylinder cap is made by plastic.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a micro compressor which integrally combines the Nylon link, the plane bearing, the driven gear and the eccentric shaft to be a transmission device able to be fully supported by the motor's frame made of plastic. A needle bearing is located in the transmission device in the frame. Therefore, the frame is evenly supported at two points and has a stable structure so that the frame can be made by plastic. The mount is snapped to the frame without using any bolt to reduce the cost and the weight.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a micro compressor which is compact and generates less noise. The link has a short travel distance and the air is supplied quickly. The micro compressor has a stable structure and the frame is made by plastic so as to have a low manufacturing cost and a high work efficiency. The volume output by the micro compressor is high, and the electric power required is low. The manufacturing cost and the size are limited.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 5 is a partial cross sectional view of the micro compressor of the present invention. - Referring to
FIGS. 3 to 5 , the micro compressor of the present invention comprises amotor 1. Adriving gear 2 is connected to the first end of themotor 1, and afan 3 is connected to the second end of themotor 1. Aframe 6 made of plastic is connected to the first end of themotor 1. Atransmission device 14 is connected to theframe 6 and connected to thedriving gear 2. A Nylonlink 11 is located in theframe 6 and connected to thetransmission device 14. Amount 12 is snapped to theframe 6 without using any bolt, and acylinder cap 13 is connected to the top of themount 12. Theframe 6 and thecylinder cap 13 are both made by plastic. - The
transmission device 14 comprises a drivengear 4 which is engaged with thedriving gear 2. Acam 5 is connected to the drivengear 4 and has aneccentric shaft 8 connected thereto. Theeccentric shaft 8 is connected with aneccentric wheel 10. Theeccentric wheel 10 is connected to the Nylonlink 11 by a plane bearing 9. Theeccentric shaft 8 is connected to theframe 6 by a needle bearing 7. Theframe 6 comprises a left part and a right part, the left and right parts are respectively located on two sides of the Nylonlink 11 so as to enclose theNylon link 11 and thetransmission device 14. - The Nylon
link 11 and theeccentric wheel 10 are connected by the plane bearing 9, the drivengear 4 and theeccentric shaft 8 to form thetransmission device 14 which is fully supported by theframe 6 made of plastic. The needle bearing 7 is located in thetransmission device 14 in theframe 6. Therefore, theframe 6 is evenly supported at two points and has a stable structure so that theframe 6 can be made by plastic. Themount 12 is snapped to the frame without using any bolt to reduce the cost and the weight. - While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
Claims (5)
1. A micro compressor comprising:
a motor;
a driving gear connected to a first end of the motor, a fan connected to a second end of the motor;
a frame connected to the first end of the motor, the frame being made by plastic;
a transmission device connected to the frame and connected to the driving gear, a Nylon link located in the frame and connected to the transmission device, and
a mount being snapped to the frame and a cylinder cap connected to a top of the mount.
2. The micro compressor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the transmission device comprises a driven gear which is engaged with the driving gear, a cam is connected to the driven gear and has an eccentric shaft which is connected with an eccentric wheel, the eccentric wheel is connected to the Nylon link by a plane bearing.
3. The micro compressor as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the eccentric shaft is connected to the frame by a needle bearing.
4. The micro compressor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the frame comprises a left part and a right part, the left and right parts are respectively located on two sides of the Nylon link.
5. The micro compressor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the cylinder cap is made by plastic.
